TEAM NEWS: All change at full-back for the visitors, as Erik Durm and Kevin Grosskreutz start on the left and right flank respectively. Lukasz Piszczek drops to the bench in light of poor recent performances, with Oliver Kirch replacing Nuri Sahin in defensive midfield. Jonas Hofmann is deployed on the right hand side instead of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, with Marco Reus and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Piszczu dropped? Rested or giving Grosskreutz time back at fullback in prep for Real. Well one thing for certain, Real will have some guess work to do.

Lets sell Miki in the summer for 30M. Hoffman is the playmaker we needed and had all along.

Effective retention or simply aimless or "negative", as you'd call it, retention?

Purposeful retention. To defend their lead while everyone is on their last legs and because there is no reason to go for another goal in last five or so minutes but they managed to build attacks doing so or at least get ball forward.

I now wish they would do that now when they need a goal as well.

Saw it to great effect to kill off the match vs Arsenal. With less passing but much more confident than what we saw today.

First we were very naive but then showed character. All in all, interesting game and a deserved win, we had to win this game and Im glad our team realised that.
