Horrible tackle by Sokratis, I thought he was last man, surprised it wasn't a red.

Shocking how many counters we've failed to convert in the past 10 minutes.

Not much to say about this one...

A little lucky it wasn't red, but take a sucker punch goal and move on with 3pts.

What was that exchange of Sahin with Klop at the end?

Fairly comfortable win. Not quite sure which game some of you were watching. Could and should have scored at least 4 in the second half whereas they created nothing of note.

On a side note. Looked like sahin was none too pleased at being subbed. Looked like klopp was trying to get him to go and appauld the fans at the end and he just stormed off down the tunnel....

I wonder as well. When Sahin was substituted I thought it was to ensure Lewa doesn't fall behind in total minutes on the pitch.

Shocking to see us play without Lewy, shows how reliant on him we are. We're gonna have it rough next season unless he's suitably replaced. Even if, chances are the striker will need some time to adapt.

Don't know why Sahin was pissed at being subbed. He plays almost every min of every match.

One thing that's glaring is that when a key player is taken out of the squad, our chemistry suffers immensely. Last year when Gotze was done with the hamstring injury, so many plays broke down. We ended up losing to Madrid 2-0 because of that...or at least that played a key role. Today we saw the same without Lewa. I don't think we miss Reus when he is out but when he comes back in, he makes such a HUGE difference. Earlier in the season we experienced the same at the back when Subotic and Hummels were out. I feel like our defence can become a hellavala more stable if Sokratis is either given clear instructions or he is able to follow them. Maybe he has issues with language skills. A lot of effort but very little efficiency.

Schieber was awful. He offered nothing going forward or back. Lost the ball and the plays broke down because he made the wrong runs. Auba cannot play with his back to goal. Besides, I think he is being asked to play as a winger who has to track back and I think that's too much for him.

Also with Lewa out, Mikhi felt like he had to carry the team. Maybe that was just me but there were too many times he was looking to dribble the ball forward and he isn't really that kind of a player.

I just don't understand why Hoffman did not start the game. Reus, Lewa and Cuba are out and Hoffman still was not a starter.

Good that I didn't jinx it yesterday. Despite the weak points of this game the positive outcome is what matters. Hard fought win for the 3 points, good job. :)

Because Klopp might lose his life if Großkruetz doesn't start.

Wow, that was difficult to watch. Lewandowski and Reus give us completely different level of quality up front. Our defence managed to keep Freiburg from scoring, their only chances came from individual effort from Mehmedi.

    Great goal from Kehl.

Waiting for next weekend. Mkhitaryan will FINALLY get some rest. I hate Klopp for not using rotation. Miki was completely exhausted after 80~ minutes.

Next weekend I hope to see this:
Weidenfeller - Piszczek, Friedrich, Hummels, Schmelzer - Kehl, Sahin - Aubameyang, Hofmann, Reus - Lewandowski

But we will OBVIOUSLY see Reus as a playmaker and Grosskreutz on the left.

    Sokratis also needs rest...

Absolutely. This would have been a perfect match to try Auba as a striker and Hoffman in the hole. Scheiber has already said he'd be leaving so why play him?

Dissapointed to see less of Hoffman. Scheiber and Kevin starts but not Hoffman. There needs to be an injury crisis for Klopp to push new talent
