He is the league top scorer now so I thought he deserves his own thread? Takuya Murayama is also playing for Pogon
He scored a great goal today and got an assist for the first Murayama's goal this season with his team winning 3:2.
Ex junior NT player in many categories, couldn't get a hold in Urawa Reds who were AFC winners at the time with players like Yuki Abe, Ponte, Keita Suzuki in the midfield at the time, went to Europe to continue his career after short stunt in JFL plus many loans to J2 and he landed, via Latvia, in Szczecin finally where he contributes steadily and now started to become a star player in Poland as he entered his best career age. That's in short.
Nice touches. It'd be really exciting if a player who took a less conventional root to stardom could make it to the NT one day. You know, someone like Ibusuki or Seto or Akahoshi who toiled in less prestigious European leagues before moving on to the Bundesliga or whatnot.
Seems that Akahoshi teammate's Takuya Murayama scored his 2nd league goal the other day, which led to another win. Now Pogon sits at #3 in the league. I'll try to check for highlights later
Yes, that was him. He's taking part in like +75% of the his team's goals this season (opening passess, assists and goals of course). Good that his head is back on the pitch.
