On a serious note, I certainly hope he has. Injury has held him back. He's looked good in the preseason so far along with Beal.
Beal has really looked like a stud. Its preseason of course, but promising going into the season for sure. Veseley looks like he could be useful against smaller teams, like the Heat, the Knicks, etc. But man, Im liking Glen Rice Jr.
Video evidence that DRose is just about back to pre-injury form. There was actually a more explosive play earlier in the third quarter where he splits the double team at speed, absorbs contact at the rim, and finished over Hibbert. But I couldn't find a clip of it on YouTube.
I figured he'd be back fast -- he's had a ton of time to recover, and ACL treatment is much better than it used to be --- but this has been ridiculously quick. The play you refer to is at 1:10, I think. http://www.nba.com/games/20131018/INDCHI/gameinfo.html?ls=iref:nbahpts
The NBA Finals are going back to 2-2-1-1-1. http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/9867672/nba-owners-unanimously-vote-change-finals-format
Lord, still asking myself that. Cuban is right though -- the Heat as black hatters is good for the NBA.
Nearly 30 years! Okay, today I feel old. I mean, it's been 2-3-2 since Red Auerbach? Now, don't get me started on my prostate acting up...
I always thought the 2-3-2 format actually benefitted the visiting team. If the visiting team can steals one of the first two games, then they can go three straight at home.
Do you mean for fantasy? I always look at the bad teams' starters and try to figure out who will get the defensive stats and who's the "looter in the riot," i.e. the guys that gets them to 80 points every night. Because win or lose every team will get to 80 somehow. Jazz has Derrick Favors and Enes Kanter in the first category. Suns have Eric Bledsoe in the second category. A lot of people will draft second year players that they expect to get better but I'm always wary of a sophomore slump. Still, four of the five guys on last year's All Rookie Team (Beal, Lillard, Barnes, Davis) are looking good for their second year but if you can don't pay too much or draft them too early. But my favorite of the second year guys is definitely Andre Drummond. From the rookie class, Zeller is looking like a pretty good prospect. Finally, injuries impact a draft a lot so people are taking Reggie Jackson in later rounds for his early season value with Westbrook healing up. Ditto for Steve Nash with Kobe sidelined; it's going to be Steve's team for the first half. On the flip side of things, Andrew Bogut's rep is that he's injury prone which scares off a lot of owners but he's promised (to us Warriors fans at least) that those injuries are a thing of the past. I'm skeptical.
I sent reminders to "Commish" Duck to renew the leagues. I'd rather we just did one league though and not two. If Duck doesn't want to do it I'll set it up but I'd like to see at least 10 participants this time. We could round it out with non-BS people if need be. Anyone else interested? Mengao?
Im down for non BS participants. I'll send some guys on the MUFC forum a shout. Or @Playboy Red Devil you got it?
nah bro I did not get anything from the MUFC forum. I even checked our threads and found nothing. Nonetheless I am down with participating this year. Who wants to be the commish? I would nominate you.
LMAO pizzaboy. What I meant was, you should let all the MUFC BS people know about it on our bball thread. Maybe they'd be interested.
What are your thoughts? I like Gortat, don't care for Brown and I'm not sure what to expect from Marshall, who was highly rated out of UNC.
