My memory doesn't stretch back to the Champions Cup era , but there has never been a CCL game outside the Tuesday-Thursday window. In this case, however, Alajuelense compromised to have the CCL game on Monday because they are obligated to hand over the Morera Soto to FIFA on March 11 for the u-17 Women's World Cup. http://www.mariosegura.com/futbol/p...ra-al-arabe-unido-el-10-de-marzo-en-el-morera
Cruz Azul is top of the table in Liga MX......Will they finally win something outside a league cup in the last 1000 years? Will they win the record 6th CCL and surpass everyone including America? NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Por favor Toluca git r done! Toluca! Toluca!
Tryin not to jinx em, eh? lol. Don't worry, with Denver's subchampionship Sunday, they now have 4 of those since the 80s, so the club is growing...
Current form Cruz Azul and Toluca should have no problem advancing. Tijuana vs Galaxy should be interesting.
compared with Crz Azul and Toluca Xolos is a shity club but i think he could pass over Galaxy. Well, out of Donovan i don't know how to play Galaxy, here in mexico there are not channels to watch MLS so we don't know enough about those teams.
Longest consecutive winning streak in each confederation's premier club competition. CONCACAF: 8 – Mexico (ongoing) UEFA: 6 – England (end of streak 1982) CONMEBOL: 4 – Brazil (ongoing); Argentina (end of streak 1970 and 1975) OFC: 4 – New Zealand (end of streak 2009) CAF: 3 – Cameroon (end of streak 1980) AFC: 3 – South Korea (end of streak 1998) Liga MX is in the process of building a world record that even New Zealand will struggle to break. This doesn't reflect too kindly on the rest of CONCACAF. Never before in the history of club football has a confederation been this unbalanced and noncompetitive.
Toluca's coach feels 60% of the starters will be enough to get the job done in San Jose: http://www.mediotiempo.com/futbol/m...toluca-partira-el-equipo-para-liga-y-concacaf 8 out of 13 MLS head coaches think a MLS team will win the CCL this year: http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/artic...mls-come-away-concacaf-champions-league-crown
Wouldn't surprise me at all if it's enough to get the job done. Last year, Tigres B was destroying the sounders in Seattle up until the red card which screwed them over. Well, kudos to the other 5 who aren't delusional.
