It's the off-season. Things are way too slow. I thought a fun idea would be to throw around ideas/designs for tifo in the new season. Small, big, flags, banners, etc. it doesn't matter. Just throw out the idea.

    Player Specific
    Team (opposing) specific
    General Tifo

You name it, just throw the idea out there and lets see what we can come up with.

First and foremost - Andy Williams retirement tifo.
I really want to have an awesome tifo to display if we do in fact have a testimonial match. And if we dont - well I'm sure we'll have a special night/game in which we honor the legend.

    Ideas?

    Throw any out there.

Your Tifo needs sleeves on it. Like, literally, hanging off to each side like severed foreskins.

Then you could put numbers on them or make them obviously long-sleeve etc.

It would be totally sweet to have some BIG sheets that cover multiple sections (like the giant RSL flag) and have one on the upper deck saying "Thanks" and below it on the lower deck that says "Andy" Simple, yet sweet. You could make two more for north and south one with "RSL original #77" and the other with Andy's face or something. LOTS of work but it's be awesome to see, add in an "Andy-Williams" chant and it would be unforgettable.

It wouldn't be overly difficult if I did the letters on separate sheets. They would each be roughly the size of a queen sheet.

Or I could have a couple sewn together and then use it as one single sheet.
moving that sheet around, though, would be a pain in the ass.

Ask Security if you can bring in a wheelbarrow  Plus, open it up in the 77th min. Or do this at the beginning and plan something else for the 77th.

We would need to work on getting them into the stadium the night before or earlier that day. RSL has mentioned in the past that if we want to make them at the stadium that could probably be arranged. Might be nice to make them and store them there.

    I like this idea
You have better connections with this than I, but I am more than willing to help out with everything else.

This off season blows. Doing some big tifo would help the pain

Josh and I were talking about this the other night. We need to get started on things now so that it can be done for the first game. We're planning a night to get together to plan stuff for the season (songs videos, tifo, banner contests etc.) I'll let you know.

I can never get over how much Tony looks like AC Slater (Mario Lopez) from Saved by the Bell. Some Tifo related to that might be funny. Maybe: "Saved by the Beltran" w/ pictures of Slater and Tony?

The one for Andy, obviously, is a huge RSL jersey with long sleeves, but have fun with the long sleeves... make them reach as far around the stadium as you can imagine, just unrolling and unrolling and unrolling until they meet in the other end zone.

Could it be done? It would have to be lightweight, but fairly strong material, or possibly the effect could be done 'good enough' by using segments.

I can't remember who said it but:
Vs. Seattle - A giant donut that can be passed around the stadium, promptly followed by a giant Sigi head. Also Freddy Montero chasing a... well, i think you get the idea ;)

I LOVE this. As well as spoofing the Saved by the Bell theme and singing it when Tony does something good: "It's all right, cuz we're saved by the Bel-tran!"

"Have you ever heard of Plato, Harkes, Socrates?"
    "Yes."
    "Morons."

This is at the top of my list to do. It's second only to an Andy Williams tribute

It never actually occurred to me how long Andy Williams' sleeves were until I read this thread. Good luck with it.

My sister just sent me a facebook message with wonderful news: my boss gave us 30 FEET of the legit banner vinyl for us to make signs or banners for RSL! He said he can print any lettering or pictures we want on them for us, so we need to think of some ideas!

So... my first question is, would this be allowed in the stadium? I don't see why not, but who knows.

My second question is: What the hell could we put on there? There is so much room to play with, you could really make something great. We just need some ideas.
