DC new owners (joining Chang) expected within a month. http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2012/06/06/dc-uniteds-payne-new-owners-could-come-month Between that, the stadium proposal and first place in the East, things are finally looking up in the District.
More info... Merritt Paulson @MerrittPaulson we will take zero salary/cap hit on the perlaza/mwanga deal..in fact we gain space. example of how misleading public player salary info is..
No reason whatsoever that a team that has won the CONCACAF Champion's Cup once, the Supporter's Shield 4 times. As well as the MLS cup that many times..shouldn't have been the 1st team with its own SSS... They've got more hardware than I have jokes about Bob Kraft's "apparent" Apathy(Actually not a joking matter and most on here believe he's a great owner)...
Dynamo sign Honduran midfielder Óscar Boniek García 27-year-old Designated Player has 67 caps for Honduras June 7, 2012 Houston Dynamo Communications Have the Revs ever pursued (and landed) a player for that long?
I dunno. If the Expos weren't run by the baseball equivalent of the Revs it might have been a different story for "The Uniteds." In the early years they were far and away the best organization, but everything changed when the Nationals came to town. Of course, we used to be a leader in most off-the-field categories too. It's just that we stood still and everyone else moved ahead...
Paul Mariner takes over for TFC after Aaron Winter is let go/fired/resigned/mutual agreement to go... New era for TFC?
Aron Winter fired by TFC. Paul Mariner will be taking over as head coach. They couldn't have waited until after we played them at least one time? Revs/TFC games now take on an interesting extra dimension.
Hopefully Mariner likes to play the same kind of attacking style Winter tried to implement but his English background and years of being infected by Nicol doesn't make it seem likely

Scary thought for the Eastern Conference teams, as one of the best teams might be about to get better. Rodgers has a visa hearing at the US consulate tomorrow.
Well, the speculation has now hit full power... Steven Goff @SoccerInsider Union has called a 2 pm news conference. Hmmm #MLS Brian Straus @BrianStraus Peter Nowak NOT listed as speaker at Union's 2 pm press conf. CEO Nick Sakiewicz apparently will go it alone at PPL Park.
The door is open for a glorious Steve Nicol return to MLS! I'm going to think that whenever there's a coaching opening.
Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. My only regret is he's isn't staying as the Union coach so the great fans in Philly suffer a bit longer
San Jose invites a couple of the NPSL San Diego Flash players to trial. And RBNY looking for a 3rd DP.
As a revs fan my wish was for him to stay forever haha. Unfortunately they finally realized what a mess Nowak put them in.
There was only one scoreless match last night, and we know which it was obviously. Results from last night continue to show that Vancouver, the other worst team in the league last year, has completely surpassed us. DC gets another win as well, at Philly. Montreal (4-1 over Seattle!), Houston and KC all won at home, so both new coaches (TFC and Philly) got a L in their first games. RSL went out to Chivas and smoked them 3-0. Revs now drop to 7th in the East, and except for DC, every team in front of them has a game in hand. A win last night would have left us in a tie for 5th.
Fourth, actually. Not nitpicking . . . just pointing out that the playoff race in the east is still wide open and we are very much in the mix.
