trolling is a form of fishing so this would make him a master baiter.

I'm not sure the casual fan will appreciate how good that McDonald goal just was. But that's a top 5 goal of the year considering the touch it took and that he's a defender.

Just a picture perfect header. He made it look so simple as well.

Not too long ago, I was being told we'd make the playoffs probably, with a point total around the mid-40s. Every EC team in the Top 5 right now has 40 or more, and all have at least 9 games to go.

The Revs would have to win 6 of their last 10 games just to break 40 points. NGH

Some very nice football displayed by Seattle and San Jose.

Shalrie makes multiple cameos in the highlights of the Home Depot Center massacre. Mostly standing around.

Simon Dawkins is a very skilled player. He has a great touch & shot, the kind that the Revs sorely lack.

This goal in particular. Can you imagine what Sene would have done with that ball? He would have sent it directly into the Fort, or whiffed completely.

As of today, the Revs are back exactly where they were at the end of last year. Second worst team in MLS. Glad to see the improvement.

The Revs staffer that made the "Slyde eats Joey Timber" video, needs to watch this to see how it's done.

Now here is something you don't see everyday.

SKC scores an early goal, goes the entire 90 minutes without allowing a shot on goal by NY, yet only comes away with a 1-1 draw (thanks to an own goal).

Sporting make unwanted history despite dominance vs. NY

Watched the game. He was a beast. When he was in late middle, early high school, his mother used to tell me that he was really good. I said "yeah, yeah...". :)

I have to say, kinda excited to see Edu and Cameron playing together. I think it will help the USMNT for them to have a nice partnership going.

Why bother. Sounds like Dempsey should fire his agent. If he could not pull off a transfer to a better team after the year he had then he needs to part ways. Especially if he ends up in Sunderland

"Brown broke on the scene in 2007 with Derby County, winning the club's Young Player of the Year award. He struggled with injuries during Derby's 2007-08 Premier League campaign and was finally released in 2009 after suffering another injury in the pre-season. He spent some time at West Brom before singing with Doncaster in 2011."

And you thought we were the only team that recruited directly from rehab units.

He's 24. He's a Caraglio type acquisition, not a Domi or a Dabo. As long as a guy like that comes at the right price, he's a risk that's worth taking, even for the Revs. It's also nice to bring a player with injury issues in for a trial and subsequent medical, something the Revs haven't done in the past.

Caleb Porter will supposedly be announced as the Portland Timber's new head coach tomorrow morning at 10:45 PST. Meanwhile, we have Jay Heaps...

Considering Porter tanked one of the most talented U-23 teams ever, taking them from a pre-Olympics medal contender to not even qualifying, I'm fine with Jay for now. The new coaching hires other than Rennie haven't really been successful - Pareja isn't doing much better than Heaps with the Rapids (a team with pre-existing chemistry that won the Cup 2 seasons ago) and Hackworth has just been okay.

Rennie would have been the perfect candidate for the Revs - an experienced coach with a clear vision for what he wanted. However, Vancouver did the prescient thing and signed him on midway through *2011.*

Yeah, that was solely on the coach and had nothing to do with the players...

I believe he was making around $400k at Akron. Be interesting to see what his new salary is. And what Heaps is being paid.

I'd be shocked if Heaps wasn't easily the lowest paid coach in the league.

Even Nicol, with his name and pedigree, was somewhere in the middle of the pack in pay scale, and this was after his most successful run with the club. I can't imagine Heaps being even in the top 15 in pay.

Oh..Wonder what that amount would be if Taylor sued KSG? 10 times more? I can only dream!!

Hmmm...Wonder what a soccer fan class action law suit against KSG would look like? And what would there be to gain, other than driving the old coot out of Soccer forever?
