I don't know if it's setting the table for the Gals. Not having to go to New England, Philadelphia, and DC - maybe even RBA - might not be a gift.
Casey's returned delayed at least until the 4/14 match in Seattle (and given their turf, I'm guessing they'll hold off until the 4/21 home game against LA). http://blogs.denverpost.com/rapids/...ting-missing-conor-casey-martin-rivero/22421/
Jason shared this post about a UK-based Rapids fan in the N&A forum, but I think people here would be (more?) interested:
http://p.mlssoccer.com/2dA0I/video/912303/912303_2012-03-21-175903.640hq.mp4 New player spotted in training. Looks pretty good, nice control and finish.
Hey he can finish that is good enough for me. Do player/coaches count against the salary cap? We may have found a loop hole here.
They do, partially. I'm not sure what formula MLS uses to determine how much of a player/coach's salary counts against the cap but some of it does.
Just came back from lunch on the 16th St. Mall and saw that one of the mall shuttles had a Rapids ad with Pablo and Casey on it.
Could that be the source of our injury jinx? Please, if it will make our players healthy, I could live with never seeing another advertisement for life.
We could put Wells on one of those shuttle ads. That way, he could (maybe) get more Denverites aware of the fact that we have a team, and any risk of injury resulting from the ad would probably improve our starting line. Not that I wish injury on him (or anyone, even opposing players), but he's gotta get pulled somehow, and playing poorly is apparently not enough to do it.
I posted the article about Pablo's concussion symptoms in N&A. IMO Mastroeni's a big enough player in MLS that it deserved to be noticed by the general MLS fan. That has been a surprising (to me) amount of positive posts about Pablo's career in the thread. Given his rep and the way it seems most fans on other teams hate him I figured there wouldn't be much response or much caring, but a number of posters are giving him the respect he's earned for a impressive career (by the standards of a U.S. field player).
Pablo unlikely to be practicing next week. http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/artic...-sidelined-again-rivero-set-make-rapids-debut
Looks like there are 3 Rapids women doubleheaders with Rapids games at the Dick this season, if anyone is interested: http://www.coloradorapids.com/women http://www.coloradorapids.com/schedule May 26th - Women @4:30 (Victoria), Men @7 (Montreal) June 20th - Women @4:30 (Rush), Men @7:30 (San Jose) June 30th - Women @4:30 (Sounders), Men @7 (Portland)
If i won the jackpot... how much would it cost to pry the rapids from kroenke... and if i became owner... would people buy shares if i created a minority trust?
Match programs go paperless, now accessed via QR code. http://www.coloradorapids.com/news/2012/03/match-program-goes-paperless-2012-season But what about those of us who don't have a smart phone with a camera?
Does anyone have a link to the list of awards available with Kickback card points? Oddly enough the link off the Rapids site to the program doesn't include what they are. Google searching brings up dead pages.
If you don't have a phone with a camera... Time to upgrade. haha Probably a combination of the two. Though I do like accessing it on my iPhone.
