I assume you're talking about Atobra Ampadu. To where is he transferring?

If he's going to BC then I'm not surprised we haven't heard about it yet. I knew it had to be them or UCONN. Rumor was the new coach at Hartford refused to release him, so I'm not sure if he can even play this year?

I don't mean to be a dick, but that's not a release or an announcement.

That's discreetly posting your roster, which is not the same as actually announcing your recruits.

My apologies, Sandon. I was honestly confused . You must admit, however, that they are very efficient. They are providing all the info BS that is usually provided in a "release or an announcement" in a single web page.

Wow. With him and Masur both announcing, it makes me wonder whether coaches might actually care about what gets said in this little forum. (I doubt it, but it's still surprising to see them both change their ways.)

Surprising ? yes , but this is probably the most reliable and informative forum discussing college soccer on the web so it would be cool to think they are finally taking note. Finally.

Yet to be confirmed but I am reliably informed :whistling: Young Harris Sophmore Stephen McGinn has transferred to Webber International University ( Fla ). The right sided midfielder will team up with head coach Neil Cockburn from his home city of Edinburgh early next month.

In short, they're returning eight starters and adding a couple of transfers from Akron. Assuming they can plug a couple of defensive holes, a return to this year's College Cup is very realistic.

And while I hate to beat a dead horse, I guarantee that players at a bunch of ACC schools would love to face off with this group of national finalists. Geographically, it would make perfect sense, yet there isn't a single one of these teams on Charlotte's schedule. It looks as though ACC administrators are avoiding them, just like they avoid a lot of other tough non-conference games. Those folks really need to quit making excuses, stand up, and compete.

In my humble opinion.. silly to add them to the schedule for ACC teams. Consider the Olympic track qualifier heats. They don't put the fastest 8 runners in the same heatr, they spread them out so the finals is the most exciting race to watch. Same goes here. Why have the best teams beat each other up in the "regular" season.. lets let the "best" 32 teams fight it out in the tourney... NOT the last 32 standing....

The reason they spread the top runners out is that it's the best way to give everyone a fair shot at earning a place in the final.

For one thing, head-to-head games are the best way to decide who deserves bids and high seeds in the tourney. For another, most players and most fans want this kind of game. Facing the best is how you prove yourself and how you improve. If ACC teams start facing more tough opponents, maybe one day they'll learn how to do something other than bunker against Akron.

Yes, maybe they'll learn to win 5 of the last 7 national championships. :D
