Hard to believe that midway through June some colleges are yet to announce their squads for the coming season. Webber International University in Florida take note.
There are, sadly, still a lot of colleges that haven't announced yet. By my count, and including the service academies, there are 57 D-I men's soccer programs that haven't announced their new players. This includes several more prominent programs and schools with big athletic budgets like Duke, Stanford, Michigan, Ohio State, South Florida and, of course, UConn and Boston College. Last year's Cinderella story, Charlotte, hasn't announced, nor has Elite Eight team St. Mary's nor has former NCAA champions SIU-Edwardsville, Hartwick and Howard. As we have long-since learned, there's not much we can do to make the coaches of these programs care enough to announce their new players.
At the risk of being labeled Captain Obvious...It's really tough to gauge the level of competition a guy has faced that prepares him for the D-1 school he's going to just having his HS information. Club experience info is critical for the fan to get excited about a program's prospects before seeing them.
Fair point and well made Captain Obvious , however an increasing number of college players including some of those heading to Vermont tend to post video footage on Youtube for the benefit of fans and/or coaches that would like the chance to see new arrivals in action at their previous college.
Most upload them for the purpose of being recruited at the first place, it happens among a lot of transfers
Yale http://www.yalebulldogs.com/sports/m-soccer/2012-13/releases/201206198ya2hu Only in the state of Connecticut, where UConn, Fairfield, Central Connecticut and Sacred Heart haven't announced and Hartford just announced last week, could announcing your recruits in the second half of June be considered ahead of the curve.

St Mary's lost a lot of seniors, so it should be a good situation for these players to step into. Landeros the Juco is someone I've heard good things about in the past, while Derek Zimmerman is the younger brother of Preston and Brandon.
SIU-Edwardsville http://www.siuecougars.com/sports/m-soccer/2012-13/releases/201207023neyr7 Every national champion since 1975 except Duke and - wait for it - UConn has now announced. I know Ray Reid doesn't give a $hit but what's John Kerr's deal? His dad worked too hard promoting the game in the US for his son to not do something as basic as announce his recruits.
Once again, the service academies aren't allowed to announce new students till they show up on post for plebe summer. Well, plebe summer has started at all three academies. Kudos to Russell Payne for being the first on the three to announce. Army http://www.goarmysports.com/sports/m-soccer/spec-rel/070612aaa.html
Shaun Green doesn't let a plagiarism suspension keep him from announcing his recruits... in July. http://www.ccsubluedevils.com/sports/msoc/2012-13/releases/20120705o6n7np
This is Isang Jacob's first recruiting class, and from the looks of things, he really hit the ground running. It's especially positive that he landed a couple of local players who transferred home after previously playing at Big East schools. If anything, there's a bit of a concern about whether some of the kids he brought in from higher profile environments will be comfortable at a small-time sports school like IUPUI.
Butler follows its crosstown rivals and announces some additional recruits. http://www.butlersports.com/sports/m-soccer/2012-13/releases/071112aaa
I guess John Kerr decided better late than never. http://www.goduke.com/ViewArticle.d...833&DB_LANG=C&ATCLID=205503415&DB_OEM_ID=4200
