So, as much of an abortion of a season we're having, we are only 7 points out of a playoff spot after this weekend's results. A nice little winning streak and the table looks very different. Stranger things have happened.
I don't want to shit on your dreams, but just as important as the number of points we're out is the number of teams ahead of us. We have to play better than all of them, and we especially need a collapse from the last team or two currently in playoff spots. I'm fully on board the get-ready-for-2013 bandwagon. Hopefully I'll get the chance to eat some crow, but I'd rather plan for the future.
I am no delusional person. I know it's a long shot. Just pointing out that it's not as far as it feels.
Have to take into account number of games played also. FCD has played more than others. They are not out but according to the estimated 48 points needed to make the playoffs FCD needs 34 with 17 games left. That is 2 points per game or 11-6-1, 9-0-8. Not impossible but very hard and each tie or loss makes it that much harder.
