Hopefully, the coaches will be working on selling fouls in the box this Spring, because the one that was drawn was an ugly sales job.
It was hard to tell what happened given the film's fuzziness. Re your suggestion, as this funny but also sad commercial suggests, unfortunately seemingly some teams may actually practice such garbage: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVim7rjfKOQ"]soccer players fake injury - YouTube[/ame]
I'm not saying it was completely faked. There was contact. By both guys. The defender put himself in an awful position. There were a few fouls during the game that could have warranted YC's. But, the ref gave the benefit of the dooubt and did not award a card. Probably because it was a Spring game. I thought the same decision could have been warranted and in a 1 nil spring game, maybe you let that go. Just saying for the upcoming regular season the PSU player is going to have do better helping the ref make up his mind.

Terrible news out of State College. My prayers and condolences to the Warming family. http://www.centredaily.com/2012/04/15/3163769/port-matilda-woman-killed-in-crash.html
That's just incredibly shocking news. I can't imagine how she got going the wrong way on the ramp (but that part of Pittsburgh can be very confusing to drive in--I had a girlfriend at Duquesne at one point, and getting to her dorm was easy--getting back was *not*).
Wow, that is very sad. My condolences to the Warming family. No parent should ever have to bury a child. I can't imagine how much pain they are in.
That area is very congested and confusing, with multi-layered ramps. My GPS is useless in that area because it can't recognize all the exit ramps since they are so close to each other. Such a tragic story for all involved...
Funeral arrangements for Audrey Warming, Coach Bob Warming's daughter, found at the link below. The announcement includes this regarding memorial contributions: "Memorial contributions may be made to Audrey’s Shoes for Kids a new initiative that will provide soccer shoes for disadvantaged children at Creighton University, Athletic Department, 2500 California Plaza, Omaha, Nebraska." http://www.kochfuneralhome.com/fh/obituaries/obituary.cfm?o_id=1455339&fh_id=12859 My deepest sympathy, condolences and prayers to the Warming family.
An article about the charity in honor of Audrey Warming (PSU Coach Warming's daughter): http://www.omaha.com/article/201204...x-coach-s-daughter-wanted-to-help-omaha-youth And a link to the Audrey's Shoes for Kids charity Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/#!/AudreysShoesForKids As Coach Warming said: "We'll get every kid taken care of,'' he said. "We'll make sure it happens, and hopefully something positive can come from this.''
Penn State's fall 2012 schedule posted here: http://www.gopsusports.com/sports/m-soccer/sched/psu-m-soccer-sched.html
Sad to see (given my location) that the days of PSU playing at OSU's tourney and vice versa are over. But I was expecting it, frankly. Sure are a lot of home games too. Hope I get to see one in person this year, but it is quite doubtful.
