I've not watched Philadelphia this year so other than their record I know nothing about their play. More importantly I have no clue about their bench players who are likely to get to play in the next Open Cup match. I do believe Adu scored in their last Open Cup game.
There had been reports that Freddy would skip the game for lasik, but I can't imagine Nowak would let him do that in the middle of the season. I know Philly loses a lot but I haven't seen them play either
For some reason I saw this & thought of the drug American breeders give thoroughbreds so they don't bleed in their lungs & wondered what does this have to do with Adu but I realize this must be the eyesight surgery.
A house full of hot strippers, hot and cold running booze, a beer pool and free Lambourghinis for life. But, I guess for the attainable.....
The last time I went to a bar, some guys were bragging and handing out business cards they made. They're supposed to be good at throwing crazy parties that are really discrete. Maybe they'll drop by the SoccerPlex.
http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/artic...tential-quarterfinal-hosts-revealed-us-soccer I'm disappointed, I was hoping for a possible road trip to Harrisburg... Also, if we end playing Harrisburg it doesn't make any sense to ave the game at RFK...
There is a story trending about a local team coached by Wynalda. The Cal FC team comprised of out of contract ex-pros (ametuers) formed last February (?) knocked off Portland FC and take on the Seattle Slime on Tuesday. Fox Soccer is televising. Wynalda has sort of been down this road before. He was a member of the SF Blackhawks another group of caught between the days of the NASL and MLS. Obstensily a "pro" team, guys had "real" jobs. The won the US Cup in the early 1990s. Cal FC's keeper went to the local HS and played in the local leagues. Not sure if he still works at the local diner tough . Cal FC's Barrera brothers, Diego who played against BMac @ LMU and Danny who played with Pontious @ UCSB are good players. And very diminutive. But I see Baca (same stature) who plays the same way as at least Diego made it into SJ, so who knows? http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2012/05/31/wynalda-surprised-cal-fcs-fairytale-open-cup-run
I hope to be wrong but my impression is that FC Cal is going to get out of Seattle buried under a mountain of goals... The surprise effect is vanished by now, Seattle will be on their toes...
Most likely. But that is why they play the game ... Sigi knows several of the Cal guys very well. What was unexpected is Cal beat the Portland "A" team. It is one of those matches worth recording for you east coast guys just in case. It's not like you are going to hear the score on the radio or around the cooler before you get a chance to view.
So how about : -----------------------------------WILLIS KORB------------MCDONALD-----------DUDAR-------------WOOLARD ---------------------------------KITCHEN NAJAR-----------------------------------------------------------DELEON --------------------------------BOSKOVIC ---------------------SALIHI---------------SANTOS Pretty much our A team minus a couple of international absences and a couple of injuries. The one exception is GK where personally I would keep Willis in for the US Open Cup games and let Hamid finish the season in the league barring injuries or a big drop in form.
I like it. I assume Pontius is still hurt. If not, it would be good to get him some minutes. I also assume Russell is still hurt? If not, he might do well with some time instead of Kirb.
Russell's back training. If he's ready to go, I wouldn't be surprised to see him over Korb, especially if Korb's eye still looks disgusting.
I've been thinking about that ... what if both Korb and Russell aren't ready? That would open a can of worms. Najar probably at RB. De Leon probably at RW. And then possibly Neal at LW, or something more unusual like Boskovic at LW and possibly Saragosa comes into CM. Or even more unusual another stint for Wolff at LW.
That's not really a can of worms. Najar has proven to be fine at right back this year. Neal has also proven to be fine in his limited minutes.
can't say I'd prefer a (potential) road USOC game over one at RFK. having said that, if the QF match-up is NY at DC on June 26, that is but 2 days after the Sunday night (June 24, 7PM) league game between the two teams up at RBA. if NY and DC win on June 5, I suspect the USOC QF might get bumped to Wednesday June 27.
The last away game I went to Harrisburg (at least the area) for was the most embarrassing DC United loss I've seen live.
You were.... hoping for a road trip to Harrisburg? Is there something really cool going on in Harrisburg I'm not aware of? Like, a stripper volcano and beer trees?
