Probably wrong thread, but weren't they meant to go to the White House to meet the President? I think it was on the site?Any info about that? I hope that happens, would lvoe to see whole team shot there.....
I posted that before they released the schedules but it saves us from having to go to the dump know as RFK Staduim
Miguel Lopez is gone not coming back this story on there website http://www.quilmesaclub.org.ar/futbol/futbol-noticias/1206-pretemporada.html saying he one of the 29 to report to training this story on also Quilmes website has a bit questioning the coach on what he will do with Miguel http://www.quilmesaclub.org.ar/futbol/futbol-noticias/1207-pretemporada.html What do you do with Miguel Lopez? I have to see. See what he can give in practice . Today I have a (Miguel) Caneo, to (Fernando) Brandon, I want to see if I can give something different. Let's see if he gets a chance, I'll see in the coming days.
I'm definitely okay with this. He was tying up an IR spot that can now be used for a productive regular producer.
I thought that they had loosened up the number of internationals allowed so that it really wasn't a problem for us.
Laker fans never complained about Shaq getting fouled a lot and going down easy for a big man. Look, no one is campaigning him to be the every day starter. But an occasional start and to come off the bench, draw fouls, slow down the play? You can do a lot worse in this league.

Do you have a source for some of this? Scott French says Boyens has been signed, but doesn't mention Leitch. He also suggests that Cardozo could go back to Argentina (I didn't know we had him on loan), although Arena expects him back: http://espn.go.com/blog/los-angeles/soccer/post/_/id/13772/galaxy-lopez-returns-to-quilmes#more
Thanks. Highly unusual for Nick Green to scoop anyone, let alone Scott French. Looks like Nick is just reading off a press release or statement and Scott did the same (except he overlooked Leitch or thought no one would care).
yeah Nick Green posted - Galaxy GM and Coach Bruce Arena gave a handful of reporters an update this afternoon ahead of Thursday's MLS draft guessing it was a confernse call
And the update from Scott French: UPDATE (3:30 p.m.): Galaxy coach/GM Bruce Arena confirmed Tuesday that Lopez has returned to Quilmes but that he anticipates Cardozo, who is on loan from Quilmes, will return to the Galaxy this season. He also said New Zealander defender Andrew Boyens, selected from Chivas in the re-entry draft, has been signed and that the club is looking to extend the loan agreement with Sao Paulo for central defender Leonardo. ********** Good news on both fronts. Even if Cardozo isn't a starter, he has a role to play, and boy do we need Leonardo to look as good as he did at the beginning of last year.
An official non-roster change. Becks is back for more. http://www.lagalaxy.com/news/2012/01/la-galaxy-re-sign-david-beckham

Yeah, honestly, as far as the team and our cap space is concerned, this is as good of news as Beckham resigning or the Sarvas signing. Hopefully now we can address the CB vacuum and a bit of midfield help. I am wondering what is going on with Birchall. If I had to guess, we're asking him to take a small paycut, and he's looking at his other options. Frankly, I thought he played really well in the final and changed the dynamic of the game, but that doesn't mean he's worth what we were paying him, so I get the process. Still, like the guy, hope they can work it out.
