I admit I didn't see the game. I watched the Pens-Flyers and was picking up dinner before. I just made the assumption based on the scoreline that I saw when I got home and also based on my own history with Jose as an Avalanche fan.

Was bad in the Devils - Panthers game. Upshall fell over after tripping a play and got a 2 minor. Mattias was thrown in for a double minor after a devil caught himself with his own stick.
I hate LA as much as I hate Vancouver, but I honestly thought LA was the best team in the Pacific division. Not sure how the Sharks won the last 2 games. It would be awesome to see them play in the Conference Finals.

My thoughts on the performance tonight by the Canucks: Shneider will start game 3, even though Luongo has been good. Hey Gillis, pahlson and kassian/gragnani in place of Hodgson....great player movement... The offense has shriveled and dried ever since Godgson left Not to mention the pp became toothless. Henrik dekes out 3/4 players but then doesnt dish the puck because no one is where Daniel would be.
I'm going to be honest, when Tsn said on deadline day "this just coming in Vancouver has traded Cody Hodson..." I thought, for Tyler Myers? Wow ".... For Zach Kassian and .... " Tyler Myers ?? "... Marc Gragnani." And Tyler Myers? Wait who the ******** is Gragnani. I didn't get it then, I get it even less now.
I'm not going to lie, when I heard Hodgson was traded to Buffalo, my first thought was Tyler Myers as well, I almost jizzed. A fair, straight swap(myers hasnt been as dominant the past year or so) I didn't mind kassian, because I remembered seeing him play for Canada in the world juniors...but gragnani??!?!?!!?
I would have understood it for a pro like Steve Ott, but Kassian was and really still is a prospect. For a cup contender that doesn't really make sense.
You just witnessed the last 20 years of Devils hockey. Jump out and then bore your opponent to death and let Marty clean up any mess left behind. The Devils looked like they were doing nothing because they were forechecking the shit out of the Panthers. Even on the powerplay it's like they just wanted to move the puck and could care less about scoring. It's pure brilliance and the reason why I could never follow that team full time.
The fact that Dubi got a game misconduct is almost criminal. I know we complain about refs and umpiring all the time but this is ********in bullshit.

Best series thus far I found is Yotes and Hawks, very fast and intense hockey with back to back comeback and OT winners.
