According to reports, here's what the Yankees starting rotation will look like -- followed by this spring's stats. 1. CC Sabathia (0-1, 4.50; 14 innings) 2. Hiroki Kuroda (2-1, 2.91; 21.2 innings) 3. Phil Hughes (0-1, 2.03; 13.1 innings) 4. Freddy Garcia (1-1, 2.92; 12.1 innings) 5. Ivan Nova (1-2, 6.86; 19.2 innings) or Michael Pineda (1-1, 3.83; 16.1 innings) (Stats don't include games against minor league teams.) Nova is pitching in a minor league game today and Pineda throws against the Phillies tomorrow. The Yankees have been concerned about Pineda's lack of arm strength and he might end up starting the season at Scranton. We gave up Jesus Montero so this guy can hang out in the minors?! Of course, this is also a pre-Pettitte rotation. Andy is expected to join the team in early May, assuming everything goes well with the comeback.

I know Pineda just got here and should be given more of a chance, but I've soured on him already -- and I'm sure the Stadium faithful will give him an earful soon enough. I hope he's prepared for that. The Post wrote of yesterday's start: "As bad as his velocity and control were, Pineda's body language resembled Kei Igawa on a bad day. After each missed pitch, hit or walk, the broad shoulders slumped." God help us! I regreat the deal we made for him so much. By the way, Jesus Montero is 11-for-36 (.306) with 3 doubles, 2 homers and 11 RBIs this spring for the Mariners. I'm crying right now. Yankees Rally After Pineda's Shaky Start - N.Y.
