Yeah, I don't see why they couldn't make the blue continue unto the shorts.

I agree 1000%. The jerseys themselves are actually growing on me, but they do not look good at all with those shorts.

I'm hoping those are placeholder shorts. I just don't see how anyone in charge of that design thinks those shorts go great with it.

ya, going to pass on this jersey, maybe i'll snag a warmup top when im in town next month. just not my cup of tea. and it does look pretty awful clashing with the shorts like that.

Overall I like the jerseys, i'll probably pass on getting one as well just because I already have 3 Xango kits. I might catch fire for this, but i think the white will actually look really good on the field, the contrast of white/blue will look cool IMO.
If they aren't going to change the design of the shorts (which i think is a mistake) they should at least make the adidas stripes on the right leg be blue, and the left leg yellow.

I think the kit would look better with full blue shorts, actually.

Blue shorts might work as well. If those are the final shorts they'll be using then it just doesn't work.

Save the money, stick with two kits and use the money to improve the team.

Considering kits don't count against the cap, what would you use the money for? At the same time having a 3rd kit can actually improve the teams finances since it gives us fans something else to buy. I was upset that the 3rd kit sold out so fast that I wasn't able to buy one. I absolutely hate most white kids so having a solid 3rd kit gives me something I'd want to buy. If it were done right I think I could get on board with the purple. If we went two-tone I think the cobalt would work well with it. Go from Victory draw to purple passion.

yeah, like the drowning elf said, how does having a third kit hurt the team?

I thought we were required to have one for CCL...

Purple would be great! I also think that (if it is done right, and thats a big IF) Copper would be kinda cool, what with the whole RioTinto/copper mine and all

Sure, since we almost never won wearing Victory Gold, we can go with Just Play Copper.

Since Adidas can't use the three stripes in the Olympics it makes it apparent, at least to me, that they should try doing jerseys without them. Much more simple and it makes most jerseys look better from what I've seen.

Third kits usually end up increasing a club's revenue, not decreasing it. The whole point in coming up with a third kit is to have more money to use to improve the team or for toilet paper.

Really would be interesting how many of RSL's third kits were sold? Really do not think it could have been a huge money maker in Utah.

They may not have been a huge money maker, but they did make money. Those 100% polyester performance fabric kits sell for $25 dollars for unmarked templates but the same shirts sell for $99 with logos etc.

Most teams rarely use a jersey more than once; instead of throwing them in the wash they just throw them away. They're worth more to us than them, so it's definitely worth a team's while to reap whatever profits they can by getting their most loyal fans to purchase three jerseys instead of just two.
    LOL! Gotcha! [IMG]
You're future in politics is now doomed! They'll almost certainly get most people to believe that you meant to say this.
