Looks like they use Heberlin (US GK from U-20s) for PKs.

All the UNC players owe Dunn a dinner.

Some poor coaching on BYU's part. Why is homegirl smiling? I'd be livid if this were my squad.

This is sickiest game ever! It could be 8:1 unc easily till now and they still could loose it in one moment of OT!

    What a game!!!

    Ohai to Dunn.

    Drive home safely...

Very entertaining game. Congrats to UNC for putting it to them.

And the team owes Dunn three dinners.

Dunn has scored all of 5 goals this season. All five goals in the tournament. Big players step up in important games (and Caitlin Ball got better just in time for Crystal Dunn to move up top). And I'm happy that Brooks gets to end her career at the College Cup :)

Meanwhile, UCLA up 1-0 on Stanford

She got the ball with her back to the goal she stopped short...the girl behind bumped into her and she fell like a leaf...it should be an automatic red card if u take a dive in the box and that would stop it.

UNC was very impressive tonight. They came out blazing and I thought they were trying to put it out of reach early to take the altitude out of it - but they were still going full speed in the second OT.

I am very glad BYU is out to protect the integrity of the College Cup, but you have to hand it to the Cougars. They played a whale of a game. Erica Owens was phenomenal tonight.

Believe me, as hard as it is for me to admit, Anson Dorrance was pure class after the game when he wanted to say a few words to Owens.

As for the late game, UCLA looks like they are sitting on it. Sometimes the early goal can work against you.

Stanford looks like the better team, but with that goofy keeper get up Oliver is wearing it's pretty easy to root for UCLA.

Yeah, in those last five minutes of the first half UCLA was just looking to get to halftime. Not a good sign for the second half

Haha. If you are a UNC fan she got bumped. If you are a BYU fan, she got creamed.

Either way, you have to judge how it was done, which is from behind and with arms not close to the side.

    From the advice to referees:

So it is at minimum reckless, whether Paine-Homloe falls or not. That's a PK in the box.

Surprise, UNC didn't get a call their way away from home. Go back to playing every game in history at home and it's not a problem.

They won anyway. They looked happy. So should you.

This was the most entertaining Quarterfinal match in college soccer history.
Will the new league be able to match this type of excitement in a playoff atmosphere?
    Probably not.

I also don't like how they started their televised matches at 6:00 pm E.T. on Sundays in WPS.
During the summer months, it's still daylight out at 8:00 pm when the game was over.
They need to have more televised WPS (I should say new league) matches where at least the 2nd half is played in the pure dark. We need more televised women's pro league matches starting at 8:00 pm, whether they are mid-week matches on television, or on Saturday or Sundays at 8:00 pm.

Tonight's match again proved that women's soccer is much better under the lights when it is pitch dark. The U.S. vs. Canada Olympic Semifinal match was in the dark under the lights.
