Am I the only one hoping for a RSL versus Houston final. I love to watch LA lose. It is like the rich kids getting beat by the poor kids in golf. It always makes me laugh. NYRB always seems to implode. It is also fun to watch the finger pointing. It always makes me laugh. I tire of the Jr Seahawks and their smug and constant "we are so awesome" meme. A little humility will do them good. DC can go f&$( themselves. As any good Crew fan can testify. Which leaves RSL (who I hate but I like their small marketness and consistency) and Houston who I have nothing against.
With the nuclear meltdown going on over at the DCU forums, am I a really sadistic bastard if I wish RBNY-DCU go into extra time with DCU having a goal disallowed for a dubious offside call, game goes into PK's with Hamid getting called moving off his line for the game winning save, but to have RBNY prevail on the subsequent save in which the GK went way over the line?
Understood. All I am saying is that it is necessary for this league to have a few marquee teams in order not to cheapen the product. I am not saying LA has to win every year, but it is not bad if they occasionally win. Since 2007, we have Houston, Cbus, SLC, Colorado, and LA winning it. That is awesome because anyone has a chance to win. However, we still need consistent playoff teams like LA, Houston, Seattle, RSL, RBNY just add stature. That is all I am saying.
This pretty much sums it up for me as well. And, since there isn't much danger of doing any further damage to my Big Soccer image (which has never recovered from my once being labelled an IRA sympathizer by MLS Rumors), I'll go ahead and unburden myself of this one sad little RSL confession: Every now and then that obnoxious damned mountain-man song of theirs gets stuck in my head. I'd sooner whistle Backstreet Boys, but it can't be helped.
I try to watch KC becuase I find it impressive what their organization and fan base has done over the last few years compared to what it use to be but I can't stand the constent bitching and complaining from their players and their coach
You know, you're absolutely right, now that I think about it. It's really turning me around on this whole Kamara being the biggest douche in MLS thing. The big question now is whether you can help me stop thinking of Peter Vermes as a slightly more obnoxious version of Sensai John Kreese from Karate Kid.
I Thought he was just telling us what a%$hole he is. Also why couldn't NY do what the Crew grounds crew did for the CCL game?
Yes, but you're exactly the right kind of sadistic bastard. I think you and I have finally managed to find some common ground.
Ground is frozen in that case back in the winter in Columbus, so a truck can drive on it and not cause much harm. I'm pretty sure the ground wasn't frozen in NY last night so a truck driving on it would have torn it to absolute shreds. Same with why they could not have used snow blowers...
I never thought I'd say this, but I am rooting hard for New York tonight. I love the idea of DC fans being outraged for years to come.
Is that right you ********ing ********? What the ******** is wrong with the ********ing word ********? ******** man!
Memo to NBC Sports: you need like 20 more camera angles in the goal area. We couldn't tell if there was a PK last night in KC and we couldn't tell if there was a handball on Henry's shot. Please take a trip to Europe and learn the importance of camera angles. Viewers will love it, guarantee it.
NBC picked up the Houston feed last night, but I understand what you're saying. That one shot from the Mezz camera doesn't cut it. So far chippy match. DC is missing Najar's runs on the wing. Cahill v Kitchen is fun to watch too
With that red card, I think it is likely that you need a change of pants. Don't worry about me... I already changed mine
