69' 4-0 Ball bounces out to 25m box left. #13 Amélia Pietrangelo lifts waist-high right instep, stabs ball down to self. Lifts head, measures, curls high arcing shot, around #12 Wetherby and drops into the right side netting low.

71' 4-0 Panama subs in (2 of 3) #18 Yanis Sanjur for #3 Onelys Alvarado.

73' 4-0 Ball pings around at 25m box right. #11 Richardson runs exuberantly through #7 Yerenis De Leon's outstretched leg, breaks in alone through box top right, late flag + whistle for fouling De Leon, shoots angle and nets into left back corner low. Waved off. De Leon requires trainers to assist her into touch. Panama resumes with 10 ...

80' 4-0 Canada left corner, cleared to box top left. #5 Zadorsky chips to 7m center, #12 Setterlund comes back to ball, contested back-of-head header pops over net.

81' 4-0 #7 De Leon is back in action (such as it is).

84' 5-0 Crazy melee in the box. Canada get down to endline 6-left, cross to 9m right post. Pings bounce around, magically settle in front of Canadian feet. #10 Oduro turns and scissor-volleys to right post, richchets off #12 Wetherby high. Drops to 8m 6-right, another scuffle pops ball square, #10 Oduro does another hip-swiveling volley, this one eludes Wetherby to back left edge mid-high. Canada had about 12 touches and 2-3 shots on goal around Panama's 6-box, and the ball kept coming back to them

88' 6-0 Canada chip to box top left, #13 Pietrangelo accelerates away from 1, drives down to 8m. Crosses high over goal mouth to 1m 6-right. #10 Oduro chases, reaches it, sharp backpass finds #2 Davis at center, #6 Jaclyn Sawicki at 11m right post. Sawicki one-touches just inside left post low.

90' 6-0 #13 Pietrangelo and #10 Marta Cox get tangled and go down at 25m arc right. Lying on side, Cox lashes right foot out toward Pietrangelo's butt. Straight red on Cox.

90+3' (of 2') 6-0 Panama earn a foul just behind midfield circle right. Canada win the long punt, bring ball up the left, across box top. Panama clear to 30m, somebody overruns #12 Setterlund into a tumble. Foul.

    Restart, FT.

So here I thought the Mexicans got dominated by the Americans, it was worse for the Panamanians. When 90% of the play is in your end, that has to be very demoralizing.

Cristabel Oduro, wow this girl doesn't cease to amaze me with her vision and playmaking abilities. She had 2 goals and 2 assists this game. The assist off Jenna Richardson's goal was a beauty, flick pass to a running Richardson. Her next point was a solo effort where she dribbles by 2 defenders in succesion to then shoots by a diving Goalkeeper was beautiful. She then scores a goal where Panama couldn't clear the ball and Canada with multiple attempts gets shots on goal. Her last assist was something to behold. Pieterangelo fires a volley into the box and is about to go out of bounds, when Oduro saves the ball and flicks it with her heel back in bounds to Sawicki for a goal.

Oduro was at midfield in this game, but moved to forward when Hill replaced Richardson. It looked like Canada was playing a 4-4-2.

Danica Wu was in midfield this time, her natural starting role. Her last game she was a defender, and she played well as a holding midfielder.

Canada was not shy about passing it back to Sabrina D'Angelo and allowing her to play the ball at her feet. They used Sabrina to switch their attack from left to right when they had to reset. You could really tell Sabrina is confortable playing the ball at her feet, and with her natural agressiveness, makes her very unpredicatable when your trying to break her down.

US and Canada should be a very intresting contest, with the powerhouse Americans who have dominated every team they faced and haven't been really challenged yet. To the Canadians who've kept clean sheets to date. We are going to see the future college stars play off against eachother. Should be a very fun contest to watch.

Will Sabrina D'Angelo stonewall the American attack, will Katie Stengel dominate as she has dominated every game. Will Maya Hayes show off her speed and goal scoring flare? Or will Cristabel Oduro outshine them all.

02' 0-0 Mexico #17 Yamile Franco curls from box top right to 6-top left, leaping header goes square into traffic, rattles through legs and fizzles wide.

04' 0-0 Panama free kick from 24m arc left, drifts a bit long to 6-right foot, no window, attempted comeback volley misses, pops up high into the roof.

06' 0-0 #9 Samarzich turns at 14m right post and splits two defenders, has a window but splayed feet, can't get a shot off, Panama clear.

12' 0-0 #9 Samarzich chases through box top left, measures shot and blasts long left post low, well saved. Mexico had #10 Gómez-Junco and #17 Franco lurking centerward, but Samarzich had her head down and her shoulders turned away.

13' 0-0 Mexico sprint up the centerline, inside-out pass through box top arc left is just a half-beat late, #9 Samarzich flagged offside, to 13m and blasts well into the right-side netting.

15' 0-0 Mexico into right corner, cross to 8m right post headed clear to prevent a header dunk. Mexico dribble it through box top right post, shot excellently blocked by a slide-tackle, ball bounces directly to the defender in (Panama's) left corner, she controls.

17' 0-0 Panama probe up right touch, reach Mexico's box top, home crowd perks up. Can't create an entry, Mexico picks ball up, Panama overruns her from behind, foul.

18' 1-0 Mexico feed #17 Yamile Franco through midfield circle left, already upon Panama's high backline. Dire slide-tackle challenge whiffs as she cuts inside, springs her half-step alone from center circle top through box top arc right. Shoots right instep from 15m, across #12 Wetherby into left back corner low.

20' 1-0 Mexico pass to 30m box right, overrun by Panama. Off the free kick, Mexico miss wide, Panama #6 Leyda Camacho hurts an ankle. Pause while trainers help her walk off behind endline. Panama play on with 10.

24' 1-0 Mexico #4 Murillo gathers above her box top right, touches forward, hurdles a bad slide-tackle, stumbles down from contact. Ball into touch, ref ignores the hack and gives Panama a left throw-in. Mexico calmly win it back ...

25' 2-0 ... and send it to box top right. #17 Franco squares into the stride of all-out sprinting #10 Natalia Ines Gómez-Junco Esteva, she touches through box top right post, perfectly splits two defenders, to 11m and blasts under #12 Wetherby into left back corner low. Panama's defenders were beaten so badly, they were bent double at the waist just to retain balance ...

30' 2-0 Mexico tough 1-v-1 running inside-out to 8m 6-right, becomes a 1-v-2 and Panama clear. Ball bounces out to 25m center, long low shot through traffic, no complications, #12 Wetherby gathers.

31' 2-0 Mexico chip high to 7m right post. #9 Samarzich runs inward from the left, #12 Wetherby comes out, both jump, Wetherby's right fist punches a pop-up clear. Neither had time to acquire the other, torsos collide and Samarzich pancakes Wetherby. No harm, both pop up, still a foul on Mexico.

34' 2-0 Panama chip long low over center circle right, bounces in front of #18 Yanis Sanjur, as #20 Karla Riley is offside running the centerline, but deemed passive. Sanjur carries through box top right but lacked breakaway speed, perfectly timed slide-tackle stuffs her sliding shot, trickles endline-ward and Mexico swarm it 4-v-1.

    35' 2-0 Panama turn-and-shoot from distance, #1 Santiago catches.

36' 2-0 #9 Samarzich rolls a perfect ball through Panama's back line to box top left, hits #10 Franco emerging behind the defender. First touch sneaks too far ahead into box, #12 Wetherby already charging out to 14m 6-left and sliding down, blocks the shot out of the box.

38' 2-0 Mexico play out of the back. #9 Angela Evans commits on a bad challenge -- stepping forward as-if-to-slide, she tries to plant her left foot and stick right instep out. Left knee buckles inward, nearly to the grass. Mexico play ball away uneventfully. Evans stays down, not faking. Stoppage, stretcher, no gamesmanship. Off the field, straight into the locker, still in pain. Cannot even schedule the MRI.

42' 2-0 #17 Franco splits Panama's back line through box top right, to 13m. Shoots hard low to the right post, #12 Wetherby sprawls and blocks it down, her defense clears it.

43' 2-0 Panama subs in (1 of 3) #11 Yvamara Rodriguez (MF) for #9 Angela Evans (FW).

43' 3-0 Mexico toast Panama's high back line at 20m box left, #9 Tanya Nicole Samarzich breaks through box top left with a 2-step lead. Slows down, lifts head, #12 Wetherby is already out to her 6-top left, on her knees. Flick-chip lifts ball high and relatively fast, just over Wetherby's fingertips and into back edge high, 3/4 right. Samarzich does a U-13 happy-dance :)

42'? (2-0 still?) Panama had one good break through Mexico's box top right, could not avoid pressure, chased it down to endline as the shot window closed. Backpass to 14m 6-right, she didn't like that shot either. Brain-cramp vertical pass down box right to the one on the endline, offside  Panama's forwards just don't have the speed to outrun Mexico's defense, so even their good breaks don't produce clear shots.

46' 3-0 #2(c) Mills (who is up in many Panama attacks, even though she's the LCB fouled by #8 Ariana Martínez's arm-tug at 25m arc top. She bounces the free kick through the wall, no problem for #1 Santiago.

46' 4-0 Off Santiago's restart, Mexico rapidly feed #17 Yamile Franco through box top arc right. #2(c) Mill's absence pulled the defense out of shape? Franco touches once, shoots 1/3 left, #12 Wetherby dives and gets right hand on it, but only deflects it into (Mexico's) left side netting.

49' 4-0 Bouncing ball to 7m 1/3 left. #9 Samarzich comes in from the left, #3 Alvarado chases from center, #12 Wetherby comes out and catches high. Samarzich arrives 2nd, pulls out of the contact, clips Alvarado's front right leg, spins her around 180. Alvarado lands foot-on-shoe, immediately grabs right hamstring, stays face-down with arms and feet pulled up. Stretcher, she's off, looks non-resumable.

52' 4-0 #2(c) Mills holds at 15m Mexico's box right, back-shields vs 2. Spins endline, slide-tackle unclear, Mills steps over it and sprawls. No call, Panama upset. Replay shows possible PK.

53' 4-0 Panama subs in (2 of 3) #16 Katherine Gonzalez for #3 Onelys Alvarado.

56' 4-0 Panama cross from box top wide right, Mexico clear. #20 Riley place-kicks from box arc top right, wide right.

58' 4-0 Mexico hoof long ball from 30m+, only #9 Samarzich and 1 defender in frame, way over their heads as they chase. Ball trickles toward box right foot, #10 Gómez-Junco arrives, gathers it and turns along endline. Does not square, dribbles to 6-top right, #12 Wetherby charges out and down to knees to close window. Gómez-Junco dribbles away, out to 9m and midway between 6-right and box right. Wetherby follows her out there, sprawls and pokes ball away. Announcer dogs Gómez-Junco for being selfish.

    62' 4-0 Mexico subs in (1 of 3) __. Too busy typing :p

62' 4-0 #2(c) Mills is up at Mexico's box top arc right in attack again, dumps poorly into box 6-top wide left. #17 Mayra Jordan is late, slides down and upends #3 Bianca Sierra. At least she's playing defense :p

64' 4-0 #6 Camacho does an awkward sit-poke at high speed, hamstring protesteth with a cramp. She leaves field again, Mexico right throw-in, to box top arc left, shot sailed way over.

65' 4-0 #6 Camacho gets permission to return to field, but Panama promptly subs in (3 of 3) #14 Yessenia Zorrilla for #6 Leyda Camacho.

66' 4-0 #17 Franco PK, left post low (Wetherby dove wrong), bounces across goalmouth to box right foot.

68' 4-0 Mexico fouled at box top stripe + epsilon, center. FK, Mexico are content to waste time waiting ...

69' 4-0 ... Mexico fakes the FK, #17 Mayra Jordan charges ball, encroaches. Yellow card on Jordan. Cheesy! Finally, #10 Gómez-Junco blasts into the wall. All rind, no fruit

71' 4-0 Mexico play to 18m arc right, #7 Yerenis De Leon clumsily body-checks the dribbler down. Foul, no card. Mexico tattoos the wall again ...

72' 4-0 Mexico press again to 25m center. #20 Karla Riley swings somewhat wildly, clears a shin instead of the ball. Yellow card on Riley. Getting out of hand ...

74' 4-0 Panama arrive at 5m 6-left, stop and cutback eludes first slide-tackle. Dribbles backward for a better window, sounds of life from the crowd. Tired legs fail to make the 2nd move: she steps on the ball, does awkward splits, loses it.

75' 4-0 Mexico subs in (2 of 3) #20 Daniela Solis for #9 Tanya Nicole Samarzich.
76' 4-0 Mexico subs in (3 of 3) #7 Lydia Nayeli Rangel Hernandez for #17 Yamile Franco.

85' 4-0 Mexico kill the game off by camping in Panama's half. Right corner to 6-top right, tricky touch glances across goal mouth, nobody there.

86' 4-0 #20 Solis chases inside-out to 10m 6-right, cuts ball back to her left foot. Never lifts head and remains unaware of open teammate at center, shoots hard left foot, curls near post and #12 Wetherby catches. Announcer guy has choice words.
