Qinghai Senke has all but sealed its promotion spot because it drew with Shaanxi in both games and is ahead 25 goals in goal difference. In the South, Guizhou clinches their place in the promotion playoffs, while Kunming won the match of the week against Dongguan 3-2 at home to edge up to one point from fourth.

Shaanxi jumps to 4th, but Shanghai controls their own destiny since Shaanxi has an off week, so Shanghai just needs to win their home match on Friday against Xinjiang to get the last playoff spot. In the South, Hubei Huakaier misses their chance to seal up their spot, but things look good for Kunming and Hubei Huakaier as they play Sichuan FC and Chongqing Youth at home, where wins would achieve the promotion playoff spots. Dongguan has to beat top side Guizhou at home and then also rely on either on Kunming to lose or Hubei Huakaier to lose or draw (they could also advance with a draw and a Hubei loss).

So, apparently the September 13 match in Tianjin vs. Shaanxi Laochenggen was postponed and not a 0-1 result as originally reported, so Shaanxi Laochenggen only has 39 points and would need to win against Tianjin in the make-up game and then have Xinjiang get at least a point against Shanghai. Xinjiang now has an outside chance to get the last playoff spot by winning against Shanghai and then Shaanxi would have to lose.

 

In the North, Xinjiang pulls off a huge away win over Shanghai to keep their hopes alive and it will all come down to the fixture between Shaanxi and Tianjin for the last playoff promotion spot. A win for Shaanxi and they are in, anything else, Xinjiang is in. Also, Qinghai Youth achieved the dubious distinction of playing two seasons in a row without getting one win.
