Kuala Lumpur: The AFC Competitions Committee has confirmed Vietnam as the neutral venue for the playoff round of the AFC Asian Qualifiers for the 2012 London Games, which is scheduled to be played from March 25 to 31. Malaysia had originally been chosen but renovations to the proposed stadium as well as the unavailability of other venues due to the scheduling of domestic fixtures meant that a new destination for the three-team playoffs was required. The runners-up from the three third round groups will face each other in a round-robin format with an additional match earmarked for March 31 should two teams finish equal with the winner of the playoffs advancing to meet Senegal, who finished fourth in the 2011 CAF U-23 Championship, Africa's qualifying tournament for the 2012 Olympics. The AFC-CAF Playoff is scheduled for April 12 at the City of Coventry Stadium in England. http://www.the-afc.com/en/tournamen...rs/37838-vietnam-to-host-london-2012-playoffs *I think the AFC-CAF playoff date is incorrect. I'm pretty sure it's 23rd April.
brrrr, i called home to bukhara today, they said that it is now -15 there, so in Tashkent it should be very cold too.
one of our journalists asked this question to Vidmar too, and wanted to know how they would overcome this problem)) http://soundcloud.com/sanjarrizayev/song-1-m4a-1/s-I6ZQk BTW, AUS scored, but off-side according to assistent-referee
OMG the Aussies were ROBBED by the ref......can't for the life of me figure out what the ref was pretending he saw. That is terrible. Similar shady decision to the decisions when Japan played in Tashkent in 2009.
Now, Saudi Arabia must win last 2 matches against Qatar and Oman, + hope that Oman lose their match against South Korea... Once Saudi Arabia wins both the matches then Saudi will be entitled for play-off matches against 2nd team of other 2 groups with the winner overall playing another play-off games against African team ... It's getting tougher for Saudi Arabia even at the Olympic Team level, let alone the National Team's disastorous position at this stage ... !!!
