Of course it is wrong that they put an Egyptian referee in charge of the group matches. But does it really matter that much considering the caliber of this tournament? I mean, it's not a big name tournament, and most of the teams sent their B-teams. So I don't see the point in complaining so much about it. Sometimes in friendlies, the host country will use their own referees to officiate the match.

Come on mate, we both knew that Bahrain would lose. They weren't exactly coming into the tournament as favorites, unless they were going to resort to bribing referees and teams. *ahem*

You have the right to wish and hand pray.

I dont need to wish or anything because your team sucked big time since 2007 never heard about Saudi Arabia since then.

We have our ups and downs but at least every time we go down, I take a moment, I see your team, then I put a big smile on my face. XD :D

The caliber of the tournament will get even lower when this kind of thing happens. If it was allowed to happen when a member at brought this to the fore then I guess we would never see another Arab Nations Cup again.

Yes, your right, some friendlies you see host countries use their own referees, this happend in 2010 King's Cup between Thailand and Lebanon and that match had a fracas near the end.

But this is international senior football, these things shouldn't happen, and if it did, then calls of bias would happen and then what do we have? Might aswell not bother at all.
Of course, being a host, mind games do happen, they happen in SEA Games all the time

I didn't expect 4:0 though for a team with a proud coach aswell. It will be hurting.

Immature I say. I really hope your elders and officials don't have the same mentality, because if someone with this mentality in charge...... oh wait!

I don't have anything further to say...

serro, pls discuss Arab Cup, I don't see how you can pitch a Euro Championship into here, unless you want to talk about the potiental clashes of games? Today we had Libya - Yemen clashing with the Euro', tomorrow, Egypt - Sudan. Does anyone see this as a major issue?

Anyway, the game you say that was so boring didn't even happen, it was France.

OMG..I Can see some spectators in the stadium..
OK talking about this tourney to my eye sight it is just a crap and forced out of the participating nations who are playing for nothing...I got a insider news that most of the teams were forced to participate...
Secondly when the league of all the playing nations got over the players were called for this tourney which most of the players did not choose to join the team...

Once again, I am wondering where the goals will be coming from for Iraq. They only won because of a huge defensive error by Lebanon. (not as bad as that flop against Qatar though, lol)

Zico must have had a good reason to exclude Younis Mahmoud, but it is hard to see them getting far in the tournament without any changes. Their current strikers love squandering chances.

Saudi Arabia are looking very sharp. Especially considering they didn't use most of their big name players in the game against Kuwait. It might be too early to speak, let's see if they can carry this form into their next game.

It was a catastraphic mistake from the defenders. Two of them are literally just standing there, and the other one gets completely overpowered by the Iraqi player. A decent defense wouldn't have allowed that to turn into a goal. It was funnier than CR7's goal against Czech Republic.

Dont worry Iraq will score, how or by whom it doesnt matter. Before the tournament i spoted an eyes on on some players like Hammadi Ahmad and Mustafa Karim among others, and Mustafa scored. ;)
dont judge by one match this team is playing their first match togethe for the first time. Only one starter played aginst lebanon and he was our defender Salam Shaker, the rest either new faces or subs who finally got their chance to start a game
