Maybe next time MLS can make a formal request that Howard Webb come over and ref the match. Yes it was a handball ... but MLS took their chances and took them well. That you cannot deny. You just never know. At the end of the day it is not about making a big splash. It is about a steady improvement in the quality of the game. That is undeniable. That and all these wonderful SSS are being noted around the world. 20 years from now I do expect us to routinely challenge the likes of the top teams of the EPL and BL and others when they are in form. Between Bradley scoring and MLS attack (putting 3 goals on Chelsea) you have to feel good about Wednesday night.
As I stated, extending your arms in an unnatural way is evidence that intent exists, but its might not be enough, according to the rule. I can't help it if refs get it wrong. And if you don't want to have a lawyerly conversation, then don't get in a debate about the "Laws of the Game."
