I don't think you have to worry to be honest. Madrid is good enough to be in the group of death. You will have little problems against your opponents, although the matches will be spectacles for sure.
I fully expect Fergie will take a much keener interest and involvement behind the scenes with the CL this year.
We are now having a problem with depth as our squad is getting thinner by the day while we have yet to address serious concerns like RB. Thought it would be Maicon but evidently our management and our fanbase have far different view of things. We are extremely thin. I pray we have no injuries.
Ahhh, I just love it when spoiled Madridistas complain. "But we only have Ronaldo, Ozil, Di Maria, Benzema, Higuain and Modric... :'( "
Can't wait for Ronaldo to score in extra time against City at the Etihad and take his jersey off to reveal a "why always me" t-shirt underneath. Counting down the days.
Messi looks confused hahahaha Ronaldo looks as if he's barely containing it...though to be honest the trophy is ugly as sin..go after the real hardware Ronnie.
There's no Benfica quality team in this group, it should be ridiculously easier than last year...hopefully the team ensures qualification early after last seasons lessons. Braga away should be a nice game, the view and placement of the stadium will be great for travelling fans. Besides group D thinks look pretty clear cut: A: Porto/PSG B: Arsenal/Shalke(montepellier realling struggling early on this season) C: Zenit/Malaga/AC(2 of the three) D: Real Madrid...Dortmund might finish ahead of City E: Chelsea/Juventus F: Bayern Munich/Valencia G: Barca/Benfica H: Man United/ Braga or Gala
No excuses for slacking out of this group after last season. Hopefully Fergie has learnt a very valuable lesson.
What do yout think they are each thinking? Messi (in a daze): Hey, Christiano, what the hell just happened? Ronaldo (thinks, fuming): What........... happened.............? Iniesta (greatly surprised): ******** me!! No idea what the hell just happened!
I think the biggest problem we'll face is getting the rotation and tinkering right. It is unrealistic to play only your best 13 or 14 players all year long. However, we cannot make wholesale changes and get away with it. We need to find moments to rest our key players and involve our fringe players so they are sharp when they are called on to play an important role. It would be nice if we could give 1 or 2 key players the match off for each European travel game. Like not even letting them travel. It wont happen, but it would be nice.
