Gabriel Gomez is on the record saying he doesn't expect to be back next season.

Tweets came out today showing him "training" with his former club, La Equidad. A little self-quotage:
Also, a goal.com piece on Grafite said he hopes to play in MLS next season. Union blog, the Brotherly Game, wrote that he'd love to sign for the Union if they pursued him.

Anyone know the actual date that contracts expire this year?

Seems that Carlos Valdes will be returning to Independiente de Santa Fe on loan during the MLS offseason.

The only players out of contract for SKC are Matt Besler and Roger Espinoza. Besler will likely resign but Espinoza has an offer from Wigan on the table, possibly a DP or close too offer from SKC and a third European side that is unnamed.

The Rapids just cut 8. The big name is Conor Casey. He was in an option year and the team didn't want him at that number. There was some talk that they would try to re-sign him at a lower number, but today's press release makes it pretty clear that he's not returning to the Rapids at any number.

Should be interesting to see where Casey ends up.

There are lots of indications the Fabian Espindola is being shopped around the league, especially to Philly.

I wonder how Edu would be eligible for the re-entry process.

What makes you think he is?

Does Espindola only play the Rt Wing or can he play the Lt?

William Hesmer (Crew) said goodbye on his Facebook, I don't know what team would take a goalie that is coming off Major hip surgery.

Left-footed, so mostly plays the left unless he's cutting inside from the right.

If Philly is going to get him, either in 4-3-3 or as a lopsided striker like RSL played, they're going to need much more of a box presence than Jack Mac.

I like Fabi, but his addition does nothing to help Philly's flyweight status in the aerial game.
    FlashMan repped this.

    this article on MLSS:

Casey and the other seven players will all be eligible for December's Re-Entry process.

I would assume, like many times in the past, MLSS is wrong. Neither Luis Zapata or Edu would be eligible for the re-entry draft.

Yeah, I was trying to figure out how they would. Unfortunately, MLSS isn't always a good source....

I think he would be a good fit in Houston if we go back to the 4-3-3, since he would have to be considered a big upgrade to Kandji. We would have Espindola, Davis on the left. Boniek, Carr on the right. Bruin would man the top. A pretty good attack if you ask me.

If anyone is interested it looks like Tyler Ruthven and Corey Hertzog won't be back for the Red Bulls next season which surprises me. Ruthven was solid in his few appearances while Hertzog was a former 1st round pick and still on a GA contract, both got shafted by the previous regime.
