I just tried looking for the Galaxy game on the 7th on any of the Spanish channels (Telefutura, Univision, Galavision) and nothing's coming up.
Wtf is up with the Spanish networks not showing any of the upcoming games?

I'd safely guess either of Unimás or Galavisión (or perhaps UDN or UDN2) will show the CCL knock-out rounds.

I imagine their schedule isn't finalized (or just publicly released) beyond March 3 (although, it is a bit of a disappointment that the Galaxy/Fire MLS league match on 3/3 isn't included yet on Univision's futbol por tv listings).

    http://futbol.univision.com/horarios-por-tv/

The Concacaf site doesn't have an updated TV schedule for the CCL listed at this point, either.

    http://www.concacafchampions.com/page/CL/Schedule/0,,12856,00.html

Their current TV listing link still points back to the pdf for group stage matchdates 3-6.

I would imagine/hope that both Univision and Concacaf would finalize and update those links and get their TV coverage plans announced to potential viewers.

Does Concacaf actually have a channel? Or is their schedule for the channels the game will be shown on?
Also, I don't know if this happens to anyone else, but the online streaming option on the Concacaf site never seems to work for me.

Yeah, we've got the three MLS sides on Fox Soccer, but I haven't found any word on the Monterrey/Xelaju matchup. I'll post back if something shows.

Haha! They, Seattle, would have to get passed the superlider of MX first.

The live streaming via the CONCACAF website is now blocked in the U.S. if games are being shown on Fox Soccer Channel. That was new last fall.

    Beaten to it, but

It is a Concacaf listing/schedule of all the tv channels throughout the region that will show the games.

Concacaf does also offer an online streaming service (but only certain games are made available depending on one's location/nation).

It should work for the games that FoxSoccer is not showing.

I believe Concacaf sold the online streaming rights to FOX for their specific games.

But the games that are only on Spanish-language tv (or no domestic tv at all) should be available online at Concacaf.tv (or whatever their streaming domain is).

Unfortunately most of, if not all the CCL games are now on FSC haha.
I typically am away from tvs while the games are on and therefore must resort to trying to find the games online.

Only the MLS games are on FSC but, yeah, those are the ones that most of us are interested in.

    Enough puffery, on to buisness.

What MLS team is likely to make some noise this year?

That's my safe guess. I wonder if Houston can cause some problems over there, and Santos is the weakest of the Mexican sides.

I agree with your take on Santos, but they are still a top class side. Dynamo beating them over 2 games would be a great achievement. I am really not expecting Seattle to do much against Tigres. The Mexican club is on fire right now. But miracles do happen.

Houston are excellent at pissing people off. I can hope they make a bunch of Mexican fans and players mad this spring.

Tigres are unstoppable. Seattle are in an awkward flux, especially up front. If they don't lose by more than three I'll be quite disappointed.

Yes, that's a terrible double standard. I'd love to see LA and Houston push on, at least. :D

If we're going to make some noise, we need to get Cummings healthy. If we're starting Weaver and Bruin up top vs. Santos, I really doubt we'll do a damn thing.

Our midfield however, is quite nice with Davis, an in form Barnes, Boniek and Rico Clark/in form Moffat.

I think its going to take a 2-0 lead in Houston for us to have a chance to advance going down to Mexico.

It's my first time following CCL, is it true that mainly backups start in this for MLS sides? What about the Mexicanos?

A lot more reserve players feature in the group stage, yes. I am pretty sure that at least for most teams now (ie in the knockout stage), they're going full force. MLS pretty much has to throw everything they have at the MX teams to try to get results.

I think it's the same for the other MLS teams, but I know that the league scheduled a bye for the Galaxy in the second week of the season, so they can play their first team in both legs of this first series. So expect to see the best Galaxy team possible (given injuries and no Donovan yet)...

I concur with the 2 posts below. Liga MX and MLS sides field mostly reserves in the group stage, and then bust out their starters when it gets to the business end of things.

Santos is actually slightly ahead of Monterrey in the table, too. They're off their top form, but it's not as if they've gone all TFC on us. (Wait, TFC does well in the CCL...I'm so confused now.)

Maybe TFC can somehow sign De Nigris away from Monterrey, then there would be no more confusion. He is a terror right now.
