this kicker lol. go Blaszczykowski (4), M. Götze (2), Reus (2.5)??? Reus should have (2) Gotze lose so much balls and didnt do much so (3,5) nad Kuba 4 s a bit harsh well he missed pk and second half was not so good but (3-3,5) should be fair Also fact that Santana have better then Piszczek s also funny. well its 'kicker'
"Professor Football" strikes again! What hilarity! Dude, kicker is only the most respected sports publication in Germany and one of the most respected in Europe. Perhaps you are confusing kicker with Bild? No, I am not saying kicker is always right and I don't blame you for questioning them. Their ratings are really just another's man's opinion. However, they usually come far closer than anyone else to getting it right "all the time." They are the best, most consistent source of ratings in the German media. I just feel to say "well, it's kicker" is just plain silly dude.......
Manuel Friedrich would bring experienced bench depth. Something our management has stated we need more of. We especially need it in defense. Friedrich could be like another coach on the roster. Exactly. They haven't made it yet and there is no guarantee they will. And even if one is nearly ready next season, I'd rather have the experienced player. Even for just one year. All three of these kids could learn a lot from a guy like Manuel Friedrich. And with Subotic's extension, Santana will more than likely be leaving at the end of this season. He had good and bad moments. I think if he were "disappointing", we would have lost..... Your words "A lot of credit must go to Leverkusen though" are exactly why I believe your first paragraph is a bit strong. Leverkusen challenged us. They are one of the few teams in the Bundesliga strong enough in midfield to challenge us and give us problems. This is exactly what they did. I don't think our players need to "improve" so much on anything. Our guys simply got challenged by a strong team. Our guys can't dominate everyone. Don't forget that Bayer Leverkusen is the only team to defeat Bayern in the Bundesliga this season. Leverkusen weren't ahead of us because they suck. They are not better than us, but they don't suck either. This was always going to be a hard-fought battle and that's what we got.
Agree...... Klopp: Borussia Dortmund Got Lucky Against Bayer Leverkusen The BVB boss acknowledges the large helping of fortune which allowed his team to claim the victory. But he still insists the right team won. Click here for the full story.
Yes, Lewa should take the PKs, something tells me he will do even better than Kuba. Not to mention, if he'd had an extra 4 PK goals (the amount Kuba has taken this year) on his ledger, that transfer fee might be a million or two higher this summer. Food for thought.
maby you are right and i push too much with this but Gotze 2? tell me did he give more then Reus in this match? I think the fact he s Germany version of Messi no one want to give him bad note. i think Santana,Gotze receive too high on this match. Hummels,Lewy,Reus deserve those rank but no those two for this match particulary
Guys. People not named Messi or who are trained Brazilians miss PKs. It happens. Just because a guy has one miss, it doesn't mean he should never take them again. Now if he misses them consistently, like Nuri Sahin did in 2010-2011, then yes, that guy should never take penalties. Kuba screwed himself on that one by trying to be Ronaldo with his "stop and start" BS. I'll bet Kuba has learned his lesson. If we earn another penalty in the near future, it will not bother me one bit if Kuba steps up to the spot once again....... Not really. Most in the game aren't that gullible. See "Frei, Alexander........"
ok i dont want to bring salt to his wound i mean Lewy miss PK if i remember correct in 1st season in Pokal Cup you lost that time in PK shootout. i remeber good because there was a lot of rage and hate vs him. Floopdowski or something like that
Actually, I thought Mario Götze did give more of an overall effort than Reus did. Reus scored a goal. Reus didn't do so much else in my eyes. But I also know kicker won't give a guy a score lower than a "3" or "3.5" if he scores a goal. Well, unless he gets sent off too. This is one of the flaws in their system. I feel Götze was in there fighting for balls that most people would never expect a budding superstar to be in there fighting for. There is far more to the game than just scoring goals and being flashy. There's more to the game than just offense. That being said, I don't doubt Mario got a "bump up" in his rating because of who he is. As far as Götze getting a "2", you and I agree. I wouldn't have given him a "2." However, I also feel Reus got a bump because he scored a goal and because of who he is. The players are supposed to be rated for their entire time on the pitch, not what they do in one shining moment. In other words, except for how much Götze and Reus "gave", it seems we actually pretty much agree. I would have given Götze a "2.5" or a "3." I would have given Reus a "3" or "3.5." I didn't think Reus was particularly good at all. I feel Götze's work helping Gündogan and Bender in the midfield battle was just as important as Reus' goal. How? It helped keep Bayer off the scoreboard for a third time. Even though Bayer pretty much pushed our guys around in midfield, our guys fought back and fought back hard. I believe they deserve to be recognized for this. It did help to decide the match.
well there was even some funny video of his regular day make by some tv in Germany. i watched this on youtube. -he wake and stand up from bed dont go to toilet but put clothes because he s late, later miss few 100% chance itd funny video show how much you guys didnt expect a lot from him(media and part of BvB fans)
I thought Reus played well defensively. I remember actually making a comment about it to my wife during the game.
Just goes to show how different people can see the same thing in completely different ways. I'm not saying the kicker guy and I can't be wrong. Just telling you what I saw. Respect to you guys on what you saw.
