    This is too early to tell. But Luxemburgo is notorious for leaving a club right before they are relegated.

    Their has been rumors of Lucas Moura joining Real Madrid, What do you think?
    I think Lucas should stay in Brazil for the 2012 season and then leave in very early 2013.

    Not sure if this has been mentioned or if anyone cares, but Porto has loaned striker Walter to Cruzeiro for the 2012 Brasilerao. He's very skilled in front of goal and has plenty of potential, but struggled to make an impact at Porto because he was out-of-shape and had to deal with some off-the-field issues.

    Nilmar will probably be signed by Sao Paulo. With the pickups they made, they have to be considered the front-runners for the Brasileirao. Too bad they just missed the Libertadores, it would have been interesting to see them in it.

    Have to agree ^^

    Their attacking force is up there with the biggest sides in europe for sure.

    And the signing of Jadson was a steal.

    the problem is that guys like Fabiano and Nilmar have been quite injury prone in the past 2 years - nilmar in particular. the starting 11 might be great, but i have my doubts about the depth up front.

    The big ones: Jadson and Bruno Cortes, along with Nilmar. Fabricio from Cruzeiro was also a solid pick-up.

    Right now São Paulo won't sell him for anything less than his buyout clause of 100m euros IIRC, in another words, they won't sell him since no sane person would offer that. That could change in a year or two though.

    He will receive a lot more pressure this year though... Mostly due to the Neymar comparisons. Neymar has won some important titles with Santos and is only one year older, being named MVP on most of the tourneys he participated in. São Paulo fans wants a similar performance by Lucas, who was already criticised last year after spendind a few months in a bad spell of form. He needs to be more decisive, he must be willing to take the reigns of his career and make good use of his talent.

    Vagner Love to Flamengo is pretty much a done deal. CSKA accepted the latest offer, 22.8 Million Reais. Although I think he will be a beast for Fla, that seems like a lot for a brazilian team to pay for a transfer. Does anybody know how much Villareal wanted for Nilmar?

    Not sure how credible this rumor is, but word is that Villarreal is interested in Diego Mauricio and could be part of a deal for Nilmar. Could you imagine Vagner Love and Nilmar? Yes, I doubt it will happen, but still :p

    In Spain it's reported as:

    Nilmar (F): Villarreal - To -> San Paulo (€10m Cash + €2m Variables = €12m)

    July, 2009: Nilmar (F): Internacional - To -> Villarreal
    (€11m to Internacional + €3m to Empresa = €14m)

    Some bad business if you ask me. Nilmar's value to Villareal was quite high and deserved when he transferred. Now, his value is no where worth 12 million euros given his play and injury concerns since the World Cup. A one year loan to SP would be better served in my opinion.

    Positive window tbh. Two top players in their peaks returning, Nilmar and Vagner Love, a great boost to the quality of the league. :D

    Lets hope for one or two more before it shuts.

    Nilmar is a killer! He's young and fast.

    Look his stats: http://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nilmar_Honorato_da_Silva

    12 million euros is cheap for him. I'm sure he'll fight to be part of the brazilian squad in the 14 WC if he return to Brazil right now.

    According to numerous sources, Ze Roberto is returning to Santos in may.

    I'd argue he'll struggle after coming from a weak Qator league at 37years of age.

    But then i had my doubts about Roberto Carlos and he owned for the majority of his time at Corinthians.

    Who knows...

    I think he's a great player when healthy. It's just that his value right now I think is inflated given his injury concerns and poor play after the World Cup.

    And I agree that he certainly stands a chance of being on the team in 2014. He will probably be in our pool of 5 or 6 forwards - 3 of which will get selected.

    Definitely agree that the league has gotten a LOT better this season, and it was already quite competitive last season.

    And the latest rumor is that Porto has made a formal offer to buy Ganso. We'll see if that ends up happening. I think it's a bit too late in the transfer window for there to be any serious consideration. But, Ganso would probably be wise to move on given his present relationship with the club.

    Coutinho will be loaned to Espanyol for the rest of the season. I had no idea he was so young, 19. It seems like he's been on Inter's bench forever.
