I keep hearing the Penn State coach but given the history of the BB coaching tree I doubt he gets a look another is Stanford's coach.
Is RC airplane and helicopter flying a sport, meh I donna but this footage of an RC over NYC is epic!
Not a bad hire, and he's a Texas guy. Given the right GM, I'd honestly prefer Jack Del Rio though. Bill O'Brien has done an incredible job at PSU, but his buyout is absurd at the moment. It comes down in the future, but the timing won't be right for the Texans. David Shaw doesn't have the NFL experience McNair is looking for (although O'Brien's never been a head coach, he's at least been a coordinator). Both have offensive backgrounds though, and by all accounts the Texans are looking for a defensive mind.
I think what McNair said was head coach experience AND NFL experience. Not NFL head coaching experience. Meaning both fit the criteria.
McNair strikes me as the kind of guy who will hire the coach that interviews the best in a corporate sense and not the coach who will win.
I'm getting really tired of the commentators talking about how much talent the Texans have during their games. Good teams don't lose 12 games in a row. And you have to wonder what the commentators are watching.
