Anyone excited about the NBA All-Star Game and other events during All-Star weekend, like the Jam Session at George R. Brown?
For the Rising Stars Game? AKA "We don't want to offend any veterans, so we created an extra 12 spots for the two rookies that deserve to be here" game?
let the record show, i'm a basketball lover but do not like the current NBA. can't remember the last time i watched a game. it's been years. there's probably a lot of people with similar stories.
I used to watch the Utah Jazz and the Rockets. I'm just too busy with Futbol, Rugby, Gridiron, Baseball, and Hockey to care about the hoops.
I'm right there with you. I still watch college basketball but in the immortal words of Booby Knight, "If the NBA were on channel 5 and a bunch of frogs making love was on channel 4, I'd watch the frogs even if they were coming in fuzzy." This will be the last time I quote Booby Knight. And, no, that is not a misspelling of his first name.
I don't watch anymore. When they had Malone and co. It was better. I watched the NBA a lot in the early 90's Ain't $#%* these days.
Are you implying Malone was good? He was a horrible player. Even as a younger Ponce I used to wish for his death.
90's NBA blows the product today away. Isaiah and Magic winding it down. Kobe and Shaq joining the league. Hakeem, Jordan, Malone (and his PG who shall remain nameless). I miss the Rockets/Jazz and Rockets/Sonics games.
There's a game this weekend for all of you 90's NBA fans. Hopefully they have a defibrillator on hand during the game.
"The Only Game With Your All Stars Favorite All Star" That's an interesting claim. I'm pretty sure that at least some of the All Stars favorite All Stars are looking back at them in the mirror. And even that aside no one's favorite All Star is Michael Jordan, Magic, Larry Bird, Kareem, Wilt, Oscar Robertson, etc? I guess it is possible that none of the current All Stars know who those people are.
Lebron has probably heard of Jordan, but if you ask him who his all time favorite All-Star is he'll say it's Steve Francis.
I guess it is possible that every All Star's favorite All Star is Shawn Kemp. It doesn't say anything about playing the game. He did pretty much live the life.
Or maybe it's one of these two guys: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-s...kes-picture-yao-ming-watt-144427419--nfl.html
I'm fairly certain their will be fleet of process servers at the door trying to get to these guys for unpaid child support for their 28 children by different mothers.
