Inui just sent in a terrific cross that should have won the game but Meier blew a wide open header from 5 yards out

not much, he gets the drinks ready, towels, warms the seats and ocasionally passes instructions from the coach to the field

Manager Veh anounced that he won't renew his contract and as such leave Frankfurt at the end of the season (he is linked with Schalke). While he did a great job getting the Eintracht to the 1. Bundesliga and sticking to attacking football, I hope the next manager is a little more capable of motivating all the talents they undoubtedly have (Inui, Kadlec, Joselu etc.).

Happened to Freiburg too. Europa League tires players, especially when you don't do a big turnover. Or maybe it's a coincidence, dunno. Doesn't happen to every club who plays in Europe of course

Bundesliga clubs have a very bad track record managing more than one concurrent competitions without degrading in one of them. The only club used to it is Bayern.

Frankfurt got a bad loss. I think they'll be in relegation zone until the end.

Unfortunate loss. Frankfurt dominated until Freiburg's second goal, created a lot of chances but managed to convert none, while Freiburg needed two chances for two goals. At that point Frankfurt started playing a high defensive line, lost Maier to injury and regularly got exposed at the back.

Inui ziehe sich zurück, verbringt die meiste Zeit mit seiner Familie, seinem Dolmetscher Yu Nishimura oder den FFC-Damen Asuna Tanaka Kozue Andō.

    hahaha
but yeah seems a spot on good article, which also touches the fact that basically he isn't trying to learn the language.
With Veh leaving, I think Inui will switch shirt at the end of the season - if they can sell him.

I didn't really interpret it that way. I kinda thought it meant that since he has accepted his current condition in the team, he doesn't train too enthusiastically anymore. Not that he did overwork last year or stuff like that.
I just mean that his current mental condition basically is isolating him further, and taking away his commitment too. Of course, there is no justification for it, he's being weak.

But you know, last year he did really well despite everything
