a nice little cross from Shinji. Lol at Braga's GK there, kinda clumsy and unlucky at the same time

Just cause its the CL doesn't make refs better. They make a lot of mistakes when it comes to teams with speed aka Barcelona and bayern. united. side line refs can't keep up.

It's going to get more work and time it seems, the problem is not only the physical but also his technique as too many passes were too weak or strong. That's surprising, especially after the last two friendlies where he looked good against a great level of opposition.

I really hope this is not a sign of bad luck for continuation of his season in Manchester.

When was he injured? SAF said he struggled with the injury for 20 min or so. I'm assuming he got injured around or after his assist to Hernandez's 25th minute goal.

Yeah, he was injured trying to tackle after making the Hernandez assist, and limped his way through the rest of the half.

Time for Inui to shine. He and Kiyotake have a great chance.

I know I shouldn't say this, I'm sad as he'll miss games with United, but I'm happy in regards to the JNT. We're already qualified anyway (let's be honest) and I'm a little sick to see always the same lineup. Not that I can blame Zac too much (except for Miyaichi) and it sucks that it has to be an injury but at least I'll see someone else. I guess Okazaki and Kiyotake or Inui\Usami

Knowing Zaccheroni it will most likely be an injured Okubo

Don't put the cart before the horse, now. We haven't qualified, yet. From now on, we'll be playing mostly away games in the Middle East, and one home game against Australia. It'll be tougher and you should know how Japan's game is against Middle Eastern teams. It's gonna be tough and the Samurai Blues really need to not let up to let the lead slip away.

As much as I would love to, I will wait until Japan actually qualify for 2014 Brazil FIFA World Cup. Then I will celebrate.

anyhow. I do agree that Zac still have viable options in Kiyotake and Inui to replace Kagawa, as well as Miyaichi and Usami as wingers. as long as Honda stays fit and ready.

Hopefully for Kagawa, I hope he'll return to Manchester United after and play much better. would a twisted knee interrupts his strength training?

Man U is going to beat Chelsea 3-2 right now.

2 Chelsea players got sent off when the score was 2-2, holding the fort down while Kagawa is healing up!
