    New season, new channel.

For those that don't know, Serie A, Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italia have all moved from the various channels to the newly launching beIN Sport 1. This means NO MORE Fox Soccer Channel, FS+ or GolTV for your Italian football needs.

So far no announcement has been made regarding what providers will be offering beIN Sport 1. I'm sure this thread will be updated when there's news regarding it.

Furthermore, Serie A, Coppa Italia etc. will no longer be available on ESPN3. beIN Sport is launching their own streaming service next month and will have something similar to ESPN3.

beIN Sports 1 and 2 will cover Serie A, La Liga, Ligue 1, Coppa Italia, Supercoppa Italia, the Copa America, CONMEBOL WQ Qualifying and some other stuff I have no clue about.

No clue when they'll announce it, but they'll definitely update their twitter feed. Their official twitter feed, not the Oliver Tse one, is @beINSport1USA

It's where I've received most of my news.

Lots of rumors of DirecTV being launch partner.

by the way, what a STUPID name for a sports channel and what a STUPID marketing tactic, this is no way for a new channel to attract viewers. No one knows anything and the season is about to start. we are eager and we search for it but what about most other people who dont? they just wake up one day and realize oh wait FSC doesnt show my games anymore...where do i go now?

Agreed, they could do a better job marketing the channel.

As for the name, beIN Sports doesn't really bother me. I mean I already watch FOX, ESPN, MSG, YES, etc.

If they launch an internet streaming channel like FoxSoccer2Go, I'll be an instant subscriber. I LOVED FS2Go, and am still keeping it for this season because they have so much programming.

One other thing that I really liked was how they said that they would be covering every Serie A match at some point on their streaming service. Although most people wouldn't really care to watch two bottom of the table teams go at it, it's good for when there's nothing else on.

All i've heard so far is beinsports.tv, where it'll be subscription based and offer all games available. I haven't heard anything about mobile apps or anything of the sort. It would be nice if they had an app for one of my gaming consoles or even my tv. I'd subscribe if I could get access to any game via a tv app.

I just hope the channel is up on either DirecTV or TimeWarner by the time the Supercoppa airs, I'd like to watch it if possible.

That was the other thing I was going to say. One thing about FS2Go that I didn't like was that they don't allow Roku streaming. If this one did it, I'd be made in the shade.

There are always streams of the TIM Cup. That's how I watched it last year. I highly doubt that anyone other than Juve, Milan, or Inter fans care one iota about the TIM trophy, and, even then, I'm not so sure that anyone cares.

If anyone hears anything definite about which cable suppliers will carry this, post it please!

The seeming lack of anything concrete so close to the season is annoying. I'm already guessing that'll have to change from Time Warner in New York but hope to find out in time to now have another 2 weeks or getting the service changed during the season.

Anyone else with Time Warner now waiting on the news?

Luckily I've got TWC and DirecTV so I think I may be covered. Announcements should be coming soon though, you'd think.

I'm not so concerned about TV since I don't have cable or satellite. I'm more concerned whether or not they're going to have a streaming video website like FoxSoccer2Go.

Oddly enough a BeIn Sports ad banner is showing up on Big Soccer forums that links the website. No matter what provider I checked (Time Warner, Dish, Direct, it says "currently unavailable -- send e-mail to provider requesting BeIn."

Some movement at least I suppose.

The ad directs to their website where you can specify your zip code/provider:
