That may just be the point when I give up all together.

And hide the sharp instruments if the Yankees somehow get Prince Fielder...cause they need a 10th DH on the roster.

It's sad but when I watch the playoffs, I realize the Mets are sooo far behind the real teams in MLB. We lose a Reyes or a Wright and we might as well be KC

It's true. They're so far from being even a winning team that it makes me sad. Actually, at this point it's almost indifference. Partially because I'm now bombarded by La Liga and have hardly any access to the Mets, but also because they just suck so much that I've become numb. WHOO HOO!!!!

I also just realized Johan didn't pitch at all this season.

And just to elaborate, it's the Mets 50th anniversary (they grow up so quick, don't they?) so they're taking it back to a more simpler time. Gone is the black drop-shadow that was on the Mets/New York lettering as well as on the names and numbers. The usual Mets circular logo patch on the left sleeve will be replaced by the Mets 50th anniversary patch, which more or less is pretty similar. The pinstripes, remaining in that off-white/cream color will be the official home jersey with the road grays remaining the official road uniform. Most importantly, for me anyway, is the fact that the black/blue cap is now gone and they will wear the blue caps with the road grays. The "snow white" jerseys will be the home alternate uniform and the black alternate uni will be used sparingly at home and on the road before it's gone for the 2013 season.

Another thing is that the Mets last season wore blue alternate jerseys that said "Los Mets" on the front for their Latin nights. The response from the fans were really good but apparently you have to submit for new jerseys way further in advance so I believe we will see just a "Mets" version of those blue alts by 2013.

The team will undoubtedly remain shitty but at least they'll ********in look good and it's about damn time. Wilpons, you've finally done SOMETHING right.

    Thank you, sir.

Seems like a lot of changes going around MLB as well. The Florida Marlins are now the Miami Marlins with their new ballpark for next season. Totally rebranded with new logos and uniforms.

The Orioles once again have made changes to their uniform and once again, hardly anyone will notice. But they are going back to their cartoonish oriole for their cap logo.

The Blue Jays are unveiling their new logo and uniforms today, going back to their more traditional look. And thank god for that too since their previous logo was a disaster.

The Padres made minor changes to their uniforms a week ago.

That's all I can remember off the top of my head but yeah, changes are happening for a lot of clubs but none are more satisfying then what the Mets did two days ago.

Congrats to otter on the most meaningful victory he's seen since i've internet known him.

It's gonna be all the more beautiful in HD to see a rehabbed Johan Santana give up a bomb to Jim Thome in actual major league jerseys for both teams. I only wish I coulda seen Jerry Manuel call the team "gangsters" and laugh or Willie Randolph shake his head dismissively and talk about revenge in the new/old uniforms.

God bless you all. Perhaps this will help you keep Reyes.

Oh, we'll still suck. But at least we'll look good while we suck.

Jose Reyes apparently agrees to a deal with the Marlins. I'm too lazy and heart-broken to post a link. More lazy than anything but still.

    Good bye, Jose.
