No brainers, just about a year too late. I get pissed when I lose $20. Imagine how Fred & Jeffie feel today that a guy who couldn't break a teenage hymen with his fastball is running off to whatever shithole he crawled out of with $12M LARGE in WilponBucks. Jeezus - the they have a black cloud over their heads for years now.

But the dismantling of Omar's gimpy Los Mets Frankenstein experiment continues. Next up, Beltran the Disappointment. I hope he hits .350 and we trade him mid-year for an arm or two and prospects. Time to build this team up. I think we have a GM who isn't brain dead so that's a definite improvement. And Collins won't allow too much cha-cha-ing at home plate after a sacrifice. Time to get back to old time baseball.

It had to happen but I still feel bad for Ollie. It sounds like he really tried his best to get in shape and get his mechanics down. He held himself accountable for his poor performance and took it like a man. I give him credit for that. It's a shame that it had to end like this since he was filthy when he had his head on straight. Ridiculous ERAs against our rivals but shit against everyone else.

Screw Ollie. He has $12M friends to keep him happy. He couldn't get out my Aunt Mabel and she's been dead for 20 years.

Peterson was on Boomer & Carton last week basically saying he got paid & got lazy. He stopped long tossing like Peterson told him and it could be the reason for the 6-8 MPH dropoff on his "fastball." I've never seen a guy lose that much without some kind of elbow or shoulder surgery as the cause.

I've been asking that since 2008.

RA Dickey makes it look easy. Good knuckleballers can easily pitch to 40 & beyond. Let's hope he doesn't lose it.

Low risk, high reward. That was the motto of Sandy during the offseason and so far it is starting to pay dividends. Chris Young wasn't superb but he was solid. For a guy who has been battling shoulder problems, for him to go nearly 6 and allow 1 run against this Werthless lineup (HA! Get it?!?!?!) was pretty damn impressive. He got himself out of jams and even got 3 friggin hits of his own. I wouldn't mind Terry replacing Beltran for him in the lineup.

Anyway, an impressive start to the season. Things feel different already, even if the Mets go on to lose this series.

Pelf off so far. But they rallied for 7 runs before losing anyway. They have gumption though which is more than we can say the last 2-3 yrs.

Gotta admire them fighting back. End result was crap but there are definite positives to take away from this game. Honestly, this team feels different. Pelfrey better get his shit together soon though. Should be a good matchup today with Halladay/Niese.

    hey bitches,

I'm thinking of taking my lady to the game sunday. she's a mets fan. however, she hasn't been to the new stadium. i think if nothing else we can get a shakeshack burger and I can swoon over my ex-boyfriend jayson werth.

looking on stubhub i have seen some decent seats in the 105-106 range, as well as 129-130 and finally some promenade seats in the 420's.

I'd like to be close to the field so i am leaning towards those field boxes. but something about them doesn't seem right to me with prices being as low as they are on stubhub.

would i be looking at an obstructed view in any of those? help a brutha out.

yeah, it doesn't seem it. I'm just curious haven been to the new yankee stadium, knowing that you can be somewhere in the bleachers and only see half the outfield due to the damn mohegan sun or whatever they put there.
