Um, why didn't I get invited? I went to the first one at Kicks Indoor Soccer and to the Amigo Energy unveiling. I should have been first in line...
damn, it's setting in that I won't be around to go to these type of things. Find out when they go on sale.
I find the blue "2011" perhaps an intriguing hint. Perhaps a light blue shirt? But the blue swirl must be stopped. Write your congressman.
Having seen the new jersey, I can say that there's nothing in the invitation that hints at its look. The new jersey is awesome.
Sponsor is going to be Kraft Swiss Cheese, since they have been supplying us with our defense all year!
That would have been appropriate for this past season, but we're talking about the jersey for next season. You know, the one in which we're going to keep 30 clean sheets and go undefeated.
Off-topic, but did anyone else notice the Home Depot hardhats people were sporting in Toronto last night. Methinks they would make for a fun giveaway.
They give those Orange hard hats away at every College Game Day event on Sat. mornings in the Fall. I've always wanted a Orange hard hat giveaway night at the Rob. Free Dynamo gear never gets old now does it. Actually on the concept of the Space City Blue jersey, now that Colorado has won a MLS Cup in their Vinotinto and Light Blue, me thinks they have laid claim, along with Chicago for Light Blue jerseys in the league. We would be the 3rd club to use them, and who knows what Sporting will use on the road or even the Whitecaps as well in blue.
Sporting KC: Vancouver: I really like light blue jerseys, but there are so many shades of blue in MLS already. Maybe a black with orange or blue trim? (black would be suicide in summer!) I hope our new jerseys have some texture or two tone coloring like the Vancouver jersey.
I'd post a picture of Arsenal's title winning shirt from the year they won the league and went undefeated but I'm too lazy to look up the year and the shirt.
Good looking unis, and you have to give them the advantage over KC because they will not be sporting a goofy nickname next year. Only thing I'd change is drop the adidas logo down for aesthetic balance.
Colorado is apparently dropping their light blue 2nd kit next year. https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1588988
Right on Tex. Colorado as well already has white 3rd's from their owner's ties with Arsenal FC. It appears they are going to stick with their 3rd's as the new away kit. That still leaves Chicago, who used to have a classy light blue 3rd and over the years thier people have wanted it back, and from the pictures above K.C. will move to a Celeste road kit. And yes, those Whitecaps' tops are ideal for a first season in MLS.
those were the best third kits in the history of the league. I don't even like Chicago but I loved those shirts with the red stars.
