Was looking at the CBC broadcasting schedule for the Impact this year and just realized that only seven games would be aired on television.

Although a few others will be streamed over the internet by the CBC I find that kinda shocking. That does not give the Impact much visibility prior to its beginning in the Major League Soccer in 2012.

Not sure what the Impact's communication and marketing directions are planning on doing prior to 2012 but let's hope that they come out strong.

Not sure if someone would have information on this, but when did the Whitecaps started stepping up and increasing its communications and marketing activities prior to the beginning of the 2011 season? Was it a year, six months, or a few months prior to the beginning of this new season?

Is the Impact actually ahead of the Whitecaps at the same stage last year?

I actually made a joke about this yesterday when my father-in-law was talking about how many channels were available to cable subscribers on the Azorian Islands. He told me that there are hundreds, and that you could watch matches from Germany, England, Portugal, Spain or even Poland. Then, I arrogantly asked 'but could I watch the Impact?' and he said 'Sure' to which I responded 'it's amazing how a bunch of people in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean have better chances of seeing the Impact on TV than people that actually care about the team in Montreal.'
