when is it no a gloomy day? esp for football? Do we even need this thread now? We are basically just tracking Shao Jiayi and Huang Bowen and a bunch of "did not dress" or "did not play"

    keep the spirit my friend..
myself, as your dear chinese mod and there aint another english speaking forum out there that runs like us, and giving consistent and updated information for the lurkers here.

of course i want chinese football to be as flourish as the japanese and korean bigsoccer forum, everyday i wake up there would be much more good shit to moderate, more bigsoccer china regulars that are proud of chinese football because we have good players plying their trades oversea..

but controlling how many chinese players consistently playing in the top 4 leagues is an uncontrollable variable for us man..

Portuguese media rumours that Zhang Chengdong is on the verge to join Beira-Mar.

Sodium level: unknown, low to medium.
Facepalm duration: unknown, should be less than 10 seconds, at least Zhang isn't coming back to CSL, but this will bring competition to Wang Gang as both players are competing for the same place.

with this being said, the delusional Chinese football media mentioned three weeks ago that within a week, they will announce the 'surprising mysterious club' that Wang Gang will sign. they have yet to announce if Wang Gang is coming back to China or staying in Portugal or what that "surprisingly mysterious" club is

for those who are interested, before hao junmin went on a career-suicide mission by going back to china, arsenal + liverpool + lyon actually contacted hao.

because the three clubs could not guarantee hao playing time, negotiations broke down.

What can you say? By playing time they mean 2 games each season or what? I should have gambled and signed for one of these clubs.

No Hao lost a little bit of my respect.

i think losing respect is kinda over.
hao won't even get playing time in arsenal and liverpool since he wouldn't even get a work-permit, and for lyon, he would have to readapt life again.

after sitting on the bench, for half year, playing as makeshift defender, i understand his pain.

Well any of those team he would just be sitting on the bench. The fact that no lower level team contacted him means the team who are actually looking for talent and players don't think hes good enough. Those big team are most likely interested b/c they think it can help them with the Chinese market. It would do him no good to sit on the bench for few more years. Its just sad he can't find a team with consistent playing time in Europe....

Not sure if I believe that article. Probably media rumours/bullshit to try and make his return to China less ignominious. Under no circumstance could I see Hao (or his agent for that matter) turn down ANY offer from clubs arguably bigger than Schalke. It is not like he was playing very often in Schalke, and playing for a team like Arsenal or Liverpool would be a once in a lifetime opportunity if it were true; sitting on the bench for any one of those teams would be a bigger boost/help to his career than doing a U-turn back to the CSL.

Thats pretty sweet, winning the armenian cup gets you into 2nd quali Europa cup but coming 2nd and 3rd only gets you into first round quali..lol
