Well we know who Kroos thinks is going to win . I think it's hilarious when players beat their chests and make these kinds of statements. Yes they are a "little" better than BvB at the moment, but dude you guys haven't beaten us in over 2 years! http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/s...ayern-munich-are-better-than-dortmund?cc=5901
In my opinion if there's a winner in this match, they'll go on to win the title fairly handily. I know that might not seem like a particularly grand statement, but if we're good enough this evening then all those points that Bayern's pulled back will have come to nothing, and it will be four consecutive defeats we will have inflicted upon them. That, combined with their extra Champions League matches thrown in, should give us the boost to kick on for the remaining four games. On the other hand, if we lose this evening and fall behind on goal different (a GD margin that'll be damn near impossible to get back if we match their results for the next month) then all of sudden we've coughed up a 7 point lead, and I fear they'll go from strength to strength from there. Can't see a way back, though naturally I'll still be hoping for the best in the remaining match days. As a result of this, I'm expecting we'll see a share of the points tonight and a particularly nervy run home for both sides. With both sets of defence looking a little shaky, I'm thinking it'll be 2-2 at fulltime. From our point of view, however, I'm hoping we take a positive approach. If we're just not good enough then so be it, but we haven't achieved the success we've seen in the last 18 months by being timid. Avoiding aimlessly throwing men forward is one thing, but we have the chance to all but claim the title tonight, I hope the players realise we're good enough to take it.
If we lose today and are tied on points, we can still win the next three fixtures while Bayern can tie one of them...it isn't over today by any means.
Exactly. There are four left for each club after this match. And honestly, no matter how this match turns out, I don't think either club can afford a "slip" the rest of the way. I think both clubs are capable of running the table after this match.
Either way, it's a football match. I found myself feeling nervous a little while ago and then reminded myself that it's just a match of footy. And there were two big earthquakes in indonesia this morning that have set off tsunami alarms in as far away as Kenya. I'd rather that nobody at all gets hurt than BvB win this game.
I didn't mean anything about getting away from real life, but I meant that I'm not getting nervous or down over this when real life is out there.. Good luck, for what it's worth...
Great shot of Lahm, Kehl, Neuer and Hummels chillin' out together all laughs in the tunnel before coming on to the pitch.
