Hold on. Let me check their boards. Yup, right there on page 3 of the Sounders boards: "We invented concussions"
Well, the 'future' in Back to the Future II was 2015, if I recall correctly. By 2035, that will be 'vintage' and 'ironically fashionable' and we'll have hover boards
Definitely the latter. But when it does become ironically fashionable, we can claim we were here when it was still underground
10 in row. The amazing thing to be is that in the 10 games, there is a possibility of 30 points given out. Yet the Bruins have gotten 20 and only have given up 2 in this streak. And only one was in conference.
What a ho hum month Going into 11/1/11. The Bruins were in last place with 6 points. 9 pts behind Toronto for 1st in the NE division, 12 behind Pittsburgh for 1st overall. At the end of the month the are in 1st place in the NE and 1 pt behind Pittsburgh for 1st overall. Got 25 of 26 possible points. Avg 4.39 GF and a 1.85 GA.
First time since January of 1969 (10-0-4) that the Bs have gone a full month of play without a loss. Of course, back then there was no shootout, which actually makes this (IMHO) more impressive.
Why do you suppose that it's more impressive, now? (Other than the fact that we've won 'failed to win' fewer games than in '69)
In all honesty, I think the shootout is a 50/50 proposition, so getting more of those as Ws is impressive. I know ... probably 6 in one, half a dozen in the other ... just how I feel about it.
Ho-hum. Another win... I hate to say it, but I can actually finally see a regulation loss tonight. Having to travel from Pitt to Winnipeg and play a Jets team that gave the Bs all they could handle here in Boston just a couple of weeks ago. Winnipeg had last night off, so that should help them a bit too.
Still don't think they're going to touch the 1995-96 Red Wings, who went 62-13-7 (28 points higher than anyone else) and wound up with a +144 differential. Yes, I typed that correctly, and no, I don't know how they didn't win the Cup that year. Having said all that, Boston is looking REALLY good, and if they don't win the Presidents Trophy at least, I'll be very surprised.
Roy stood on his head in There is still a long way to go, and they have enough streaky players, that they will eventually hit a lul. I wouldn't say they are a shoe-in for the presidents trophy by far. Keep in mind, Pittsburgh was playing 3 AHL defensemen last night.
24-10-1 36 games in 51 pts. 1 pt behind the Rangers for 1st in East. An amazing +60 right now I know it is early but the division looks like this Boston 36gp 51 pts Ottawa 40gp 45 pts Toronto 39gp 43 pts Buffalo 39gp 40 pts Habnots 39gp 35pts Bruins look like they are going to run away with the NE. A 6pt lead over 2nd place with 45 games in hand, 8,11,16 pt leads with 3 games in hand wow.
And a game in hand on the Rangers. I can't wait for the Rangers/Bruins games ... for a change meaning something special. The NHL really needs to do something about scheduling ... you should never have 45 games in hand on anyone!
