Tend to disagree regarding Germany. Takahara started the change of perception, Kagawa completed it.

I am pretty sure the majority of fans here doesn't see the Japanese as shirt sellers if that's your question. And I am pretty sure that the clubs do not generate more income because of the respective Japanese in their team, except for Uchida, but he is also paid better than the other ones :p

I'd say Takahara paved the way for moves like Ono, Inamoto, Hasebe (two of which didn't completely kick off). Kagawa was more a result of scouting probably due to Hasebe (and a little Takahara). The rest was a combination of World Cup success (Uchida, even Yano) and Kagawa (the rest).

Before you go through the work, someone seems to have done it already (if that's not you).

That's really impressive how many languages he can speak. For this reason he's much more likely to impose himself on a different league better.

I hope he doesn't go to a club wanting him as the no.3 GK. He can do better.

Far out that presenter was annoying as sh!t. Kept interrupting the guy he was interviewing.

EDIT: Thanks for the subtitles Whispered.

The host wasn't that bad, c'mon. I've seen a lot of worst hosts than Alessandro Bonan ;)

Andrea D'Amico is a really big agent, i hope that he could place Eiji in a good team.. IN THE STARTING-XI!

    You're welcome.

By the looks of things; Kawashima would be happy to fight for a place in the first team at AC Milan. Though I'd be against it.

Good to see Kawashima getting monitored by bigger clubs, it's been hard to follow him since his Lierse move.

Mentally I reckon he's definitely got what it takes to fight for a starting spot, just occasionally he does have some howlers.

I agree. I know he can fight with Abbiati, but.. AC Milan fans are dumb. They'll sure thing: "This is Japanese, we have Abbiati since 1998, Amelia was a world-champion, wtf we do with this weirdo? Ah, yes, only the third gk, that's ok."

    -.-"

I too reckon he's got a strong will, but I just know he can't be the first GK there. It's not even his fault, he simply will never be accepted as first goalkeeper there. Hate to say it, but the fans will never accept it and at the first mistake the papers (yes, the papers) will follow. That's how Italy is.
    Still hoping for another move.

    Here some comments:

"If they take him, it's just for marketing."
    "WTF?"
    "I refuse to comment."
"The majority of players near to AC Milan this days makes me feel awful.."
"Here some saves - above an image of Genzo Wakabayashi."
"Nice way for throwing away a non-EU spot."
"What i have to read before going to bed."
"His agent is Andrea D'Amico, agent of old-players or shit-players."
    "WHO?!"
"This is, by far, the weakest player that has been linked with AC Milan."

See? That's why AC Milan is a terrible option. Better start with different fans, less dumb than those.

I repeat: Fiorentina, Palermo, Chievo (if Sorrentino goes away), Torino (if they make it to Serie A).

I'd like him to UC Sampdoria, my favourite team, but we'll probably stay in Serie B and - in that category - you can't buy non-EU players (another dumb rule of Italy).
Plus, we also have Romero, so we're ok.

I'm italian too and i'm sure about a thing: a good performance in a summer friendly/match can change all the things.

And another point: italian club managers are not stupid like the fans, they choose who will play not by the nationality or some stupid prejudices but only choosing the BEST one avaliable. At least good coach act like this and not following a bunch of idiots that troll and flame on the net.

Believe to me: Eiji can do VERY WELL in Italy, that's sure.

Here's a funny video by a Milan fan that say that Kawashima is a good choice cuz he's quite good and a good marketing move too. I think he's honest (even a little sarcastic) and he check Kawashima skills at least on YouTube video before any comments.
