Bracket collapse indeed. I did manage to get NC State over SDSU but I'm in the basement as far as points go.

After a strong showing yesterday, I am bombing today on my bracket. I am 1 out of 4 so far... and I need a strong showing out of the Bobcats tonight too.

I was doing great with only 3 losses in the first round until Missouri just crapped the bed. It does make my Marquette to the Final Four prediction a bit easier however.

    Ohio beats Michigan.

And it looks like Duke's going down in the first round.

It's madness, I tell you, MADNESS!!!

Four of my Sweet Sixteen gone (Duke, Mizzou, Michigan, Texas) but still have all of my Elite Eight. The roads for my Final Four picks of Marquette and Baylor just got a hell of a lot easier.

I think I have last place wrapped up. The good news is my red potato salad with bacon and bleu cheese is ready for tomorrow's BBQ.

Michigan ends their season with back to back losses to Ohio State and Ohio. Doesn't get much better than that!

Crying Wolverines aren't really that uncommon. Heck, it's the same school, albeit different teams of course, that lost to Appalachian State and Toledo.

In this case, I gotta go with the Duke photo.

Yeah, when I changed my picks due to Melo, I also switched to Wichita over VCU and then over Indiana, and also switched to Cal vs. whoever round 1 (play-in round in Dayton) winner also winning round 2.

So, that all worked out great for me.

I don't know that OSU gets rated high as much as I'm just not sure Thad Matta is a big game coach.

Actually, my guess is his lack of bench play fatigues the team and they just don't have it down the stretch with all the games between conference tourney (which they've done well in) and NCAA tourney (which they haven't, typically).

I too didn't think they'd really make the final four, but I couldn't see anyone else beating them (after Melo went out for Syracuse), though FSU had more worried, so I picked em.

    Me too.

The rest of my bracket isn't great, but isn't bad either, Mizzou killed me.

I think everyone benefits from multiple upsets. Instead of one upset killing your bracket, if yours was killed by one 2 seed losing, someone else had the other 2 seed that lost.

My 8 year old picked teams that had cool names to say and she is in first place in my wife's office pool:eek:

I've still got all of my Elite Eight. Nice to have definite rooting interests come Thursday and Friday. But I will easily give up my pick of North Carolina in the Elite Eight and cheer for the Bobcats on Friday.

Yes, but that theoretical person who had the other 2 seed that lost is also not doing well in the pool. Already not having a final four teams does not leave much room for error the rest of the way.

    Uh-oh...

Trey Burke strongly considering leaving Michigan for NBA draft

After a strong freshman year I wonder if seeing his buddy and pal Sullinger take a drop in the draft projections are having an effect on whether or not Trey actually does leave after just one year at UM.

Evan Smotrycz, two others leaving Michigan basketball program

Kinda shocked that Smotrycz is leaving after playing in every game and averaging 7 points per, I don't know a darn thing about the other two guys but it's never a good thing when you have three guys on scholarship leaving in one swoop.

Nebrasketball to announce the hiring of Colorado State's Tim Miles tomorrow. I'm amazed they didn't wait until OU was done and talk to Groce. Color me 'whelmed.' 1.4 Mil per.

    A FRIGGIN MEN BROTHA!!!
And I have to think we are favorites in the national semi final as well.
Never would have thought this possible after the home Wisconsin game. Hats off to Matta. One hell of a coaching job. And hopefuly Buford's game arrives in Orleans because WE WILL NEED IT.

If we would have hit our free throws it would have been over much earlier.\
