Re: (2011.09.06) FIFA World Cup Qualifier: Uzbekistan x Japan [R] I think that Okazaki is slowly losing his starting spot. He just hasn't been doing much in the last couple of matches. If he doesn't step it up then he'll be eventually replaced by Kiyotake or someone else.
Haraguchi is without a doubt better left winger than Okazaki. But Okazaki always can come out of nowehere in penalty area. Genki isn't player like that.
Re: (2011.09.06) FIFA World Cup Qualifier: Uzbekistan x Japan [R] Changing the 4-2-3-1 who functioned very well ALL the time was a bad idea. Instead of playing Abe, Kagawa should have been the attacking midfielder (Like he plays at club's level and like he played against N. Korea when Kiyotake made his entrance). We have a lot of players who can play at the left side : Okazaki (while Kiyo goes right), Haraguchi, Junya Tanaka...They might do even better than Kagawa when it comes to play at wings. I personally prefer an attacking midfielder who isn't in full possession of his abilities/or perhaps just lacking confidence (Kashiwagi) than none at all. I also think that Havenaar is a big improvement over Tadanari, it's not about being taller, he's just a better player.
Re: (2011.09.06) FIFA World Cup Qualifier: Uzbekistan x Japan [R] Too many horrible crosses to nowhere.
Re: (2011.09.06) FIFA World Cup Qualifier: Uzbekistan x Japan [R] Well, this is just my take but: Uzbekistan have been bossing Japan. They have looked sharper, faster, and more aggressive and more physical. Japan have been slow and disjointed. Several times Uzbek wingers on both flanks have made a meal of the Japanese fullbacks, being allowed to put in dangerous crosses. The goal was a bit of a fluke, but also some bad defending. A deflected cross landed for an uzbek player to head the ball back to another uzbek player who shot and caught Kawashima off guard on his near post. After that, a remarkable volley again almost caught Kawashima off his line. Lee did have some good chances, with a header that forced a good save, and another shot that hit the post. But apart from that Japan have created precious little and have struggled to keep possession or impose their own style of play on the larger, faster, more physical Uzbeks. The new formation has not looked very effective, as people have noted. After the goal, the Uzbeks looked even more confident and Japan looked fazed. Hopefully things change in the second half...
Re: (2011.09.06) FIFA World Cup Qualifier: Uzbekistan x Japan [R] lololololol Okazaki you ******** Zac looks mad for some reason....
Re: (2011.09.06) FIFA World Cup Qualifier: Uzbekistan x Japan [R] yeah OKAZAKI equalize! Havenaar subbing in for Lee.
Re: (2011.09.06) FIFA World Cup Qualifier: Uzbekistan x Japan [R] YAAAA!!!! 1-1 The first attack of the 2nd half where the players move with urgency and we score. Havenaar in. --------------- Kawashima keeps us in it!
Re: (2011.09.06) FIFA World Cup Qualifier: Uzbekistan x Japan [R] haha last game, you guys were (sort of..ish..) criticizing Yoshida and then he scored. same with okazaki earlier this game.. trend? Yay!
Re: (2011.09.06) FIFA World Cup Qualifier: Uzbekistan x Japan [R] Kawashima is having a pretty good game today, wow what a save.
Re: (2011.09.06) FIFA World Cup Qualifier: Uzbekistan x Japan [R] Kawashima!! Gosh, this save was worth the same as the equalizer!
Re: (2011.09.06) FIFA World Cup Qualifier: Uzbekistan x Japan [R] Horrible defending again saved by Kawashima.
Re: (2011.09.06) FIFA World Cup Qualifier: Uzbekistan x Japan [R] Let's not make an error so soon after equalizing...
Re: (2011.09.06) FIFA World Cup Qualifier: Uzbekistan x Japan [R] .......just imagine what'll happen if we criticise like 3 players at once..... Infact lets roll with that... Kiyotake, Havenaar, Kagawa you're all playing like crap. Haven't even noticed Havenaar since he came on.
Re: (2011.09.06) FIFA World Cup Qualifier: Uzbekistan x Japan [R] Why the ******** is Kawashima still playing for Lierse? That dude has only had one bad game (against Qatar) in his entire international career.
