If he had passed they would have scored.

Endo still with problems I guess, that's why he doesn't take FKs/Corners.

I think there will be some changes in HT.

Nope. Even Japanese commentators said Okazaki is lucky he didn't get yellow.

I'd rather say Uchida. He's pathetic.
And now you know how bad is Kashiwagi looking at Hasebe. Yosuke at least knows how to kick the ball from FK.
Edit: at least a good pass now.

any ideas who will be subbed in and out? Abe needs to go, he's more of a DMF than anything, have hasebe in more of a defending role and sub out abe for kiyotake. We need some creativity on offense right now. FFS, Australia put 6 past these guys come on now!

Replace Abe with an offensive midfielder.

I know why Zac started him, but he's not really helping out the defense anyways.

Might as well go back to the 4-2-3-1 and try to nick a goal.

I think a formation change is needed. 4-1-4-1 isn't working tonight. Missing the guy just infront of Endo & Hasebe. It means those two have to create more and its resulting in less flowing moves.

Back to the 4-2-3-1 Zac!!! Kiyotake should come on, as the CAM. I still think Lee should stay on, he's getting good runs.

I was expecting a comfortable japan lead. But Uzis have scored the first
Goal to my surprise. I can't watch the game. So van anyone give a quick summary of the game so far?

    Thanks

Now, I like to see Zac making a few corrections in central mid. And if one of them has to play No. 10, why not let Kagawa do that and bring Kiyotake, fgs.

    Okazaki - Kagawa - Kiyo
    Endo - Hasebe

And Havenaar for the last 20 minutes if Lee doesn't score.

Edit: You guys already said it, never mind.

agreed, the 4-1-4-1 or 4-1-2-2-1 ain't working. Japan looks confused and out of place. Defense is decent, but not great, Offense are good, but lack the finishing touches.

Changes are need at half time. Though I would usually hold on and give the current line-up more chances, but we're down a goal and Japan looking sluggish.
I'd say replace Abe for an AMF, like kiyotake, Hasebe back as DMF, for starters. 4-2-3-1!

Tanaka has been scoring a lot of goals like the one Lee barely made, I hope he comes in.
I don't know actually, we might not have this chance again. Wait and see.

What bothers me is that we lost a lot of balls in forward movement.
What we played looks more like a 4-2-1(Hasebe)-3.

    Kiyo is coming on.

They're pretty good, they often reach the Quarters Finals. But Bunyodkor and Pakhtakor lost nearly all their stars lately. Most of their key players left to Middle East, S. Korea, China, Russia...looking for glory and money.

Uzbekistan are undoubtedly among the Top-5 teams in Asia. They were very close to qualify to the WC in 2006. Even if they had to play in UEFA, I'd expect them to do a LOT better than Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan who snubbed the AFC.
