Hehe, I know, it's one of my earliest BS-memories. Red card for Hasebe, Okada sent to the stands, and probably the most typical Okazaki-goal ever.

So lets talk about the game itself. So far journalists complained about heat in Tashent and bad pitch condition. While Maya (no longer Yoshida) seems like he don't have problems with it. So Yosuke once again playing behind lone striker (Lee or Havenaar)?

I know many here are favoring Havenaar over Lee but I see him more as Zac's No.1 alternative when things don't go well. Lee, on the other hand, must feel Mike's breath in his neck and will run for his life.
And I'd rather see Kiyo starting, and Yosuke coming in. I think he didn't handle the pressure very well last match.

Lee is without a doubt, a better option against a team that is willing to "play" against us. Not hunker down with 10 behind the ball like DPRK did.

However against DPRK and probably other ultra-defensive lineups, then Havenaar is a very good alternative as a substitute. Opens up the option of "route 1" which is probably somewhat helpful against a weaker asian team that won't attack.

However Lee is still no.1 atm. I REALLY hope that Uzbekistan try to play with Japan. This will happen if Japan gets an early goal.

Uzbeks coach Abramov is confident. "I think the Japanese team is a simple team just like any other team"

His comment on Honda's hair was nice nevertheless. I think there are three teams in AFC which could be confident before the game against Japan and Uzbekistan is one of them. Especially playing at home.
