Here's hoping the US men take care of things like the US boys did Tuesday night! :D

Peta apparently hopes we won't be watching the 500 meter Club and Run. Canada seems to be the favorite, but watch out for that team from Iceland.

Not gonna lie, I'm kind of a sucker for the olympics. Always have been. I don't know shit about most of the athletes, (and I still think ski/shooting is silly) but I love watching and will do it obsessively while they are on. Love the skiing, bobsledding, luge and skeleton and I can watch curling for hours. I think I'm going to get a teakettle, fill it with cement, grab some brooms and hit the frozen pond here in town one of these days (and a lot of beer to make it even better)

    They should bring Skijöring back.

They honestly might be the best conditioned athletes at the Games.

You know what separates the elite biathalete competitors? The really good ones are in such great shape that they can control their heart rates. When shooting, you try to pull the trigger at the "bottom" of your heartbeat, because the rifle sits still for a split second. The better shape you're in, the longer that split second lasts.

Go try threading a needle after you've run a couple of miles some time.

Everybody go to The Fours for USA vs Canada

Any by the way the Winter Olympics are better because the biatholon exists because it was a scene in a James Bond movie. Free beer to who can name the movie.

Yeah, but Dirtbiking on a bobsled track sadly is not an Olympic sport just yet.

I'm looking forward to it being better than the daytime drivel that's on while i'm laid up with this broken ankle at home. Bobsled and luge are definitely some of my favorites.

we need to get snow soccer in the olympics. it might be the only way we could have an intl soccer tournament that brazil would not be dominant in. :D

Anyone going to The Fours for hockey tomorrow? I was thinking about heading to DJ's since I found my 1/2 price gift certificates I bought when I thought we might be doing viewings at DJ's before last season started.

Went to The Fours tonight. There was a handful of people there, but it wasn't packed. Sick freakin game. Best game of hockey I've seen in years.

But seriously, WTF NBC?! You put this on non-HD MSNBC in lieu of Ice Dancing and Skiing? WTF....just plain and simple WTF.

Not just ice dancing and skiing, but ice dancing and tape delayed skiing.

#1 seed for the US Men. Means US does not have to face Canada/Russia/Sweden to a possible gold medal match. QF match up Wednesday @ 3pm vs Swiss/Belarus winner. If the get by that they will face one of Czech/Latvia/Finland in the semi's! Out of the 2 pre tourney favorites in Canada and Russia one them will not medal.

Oh yeah the US/Canada game was one the best hockey games I ever watched.
