I'm still in shock over the US men's and women's pursuit runs (especially the women's). We may have used up our luck for the weekend. I think the short track will be argued until Sochi.:D

Ohno got DQ'ed. Not sure what for. I'd like this sport a lot more if it wasn't for the constant deciding of results after the races by referees looking at monitors.

I believe it was impertinent for Apolo Ohno to strongly suggest on NBC that his DQ was the result of a decision by a Canadian judge on home soil. Don't be a sore loser, boy!

Ohno knew going into the stretch drive that the only way he was going medal was to force his way through to third place. Probably figured a DQ didn't ultimately matter if he weren't going to medal anyway, so why not try to bully past the skater in third place and hope for the best. As the NBC broadcasters stated, if that skater hadn't gone down there likely wouldn't have been a disqualification called.

I don't mind Apolo's strategy, but I resent his smartass attitude afterwards. He was supposedly more civil and guarded during a later interview with the press at-large.

I also hope he goes for Sochi. He's very exciting to watch.

He's past his prime already. He'll be in his 30's by the time Sochi comes around. I doubt he would want to get embarrassed.

Take your racist conspiracy theories elsewhere. Between you and the guy who phoned in a bomb threat on Australia's Seol embassy you're giving your countrymen a bad name.

And you are giving your countrymen something even worse.

Yeah, he had his hand on the Canadian skater right before he fell. My main problem with the DQ is Hamelin basically did the same thing to Si-Bak, and walked away with the gold. Even though I think he may have been right, Ohno shouldn't have made the comments he did.

That semi final USA vs. Germany was intense with Friesinger's collapse shortly before the finish line and her sliding over the line on her tummy and still winning the race...
