Fairly new to KC, and brand new to Bigsoccer. We've been to a bunch of Wizards games last season, and sat in the Cauldron, but didn't know of the various supporters clubs until reading about them in here. How do you join? Thanks. Also, will the change of new stadium location affect the name of this club?
Welcome to Big Soccer and to the Cauldron, glad to have you in the group! Hillcrest Syndicate is just one of the 4 or 5 organized groups within the Cauldron. We have annual membership for $20, and that gets you a t-shirt (design yet to be determined), a sticker for your car, working on possible watch party perks for road games, a voice in what Hillcrest Syndicate does as a group, opportunity to be a member of the Hillcrest Syndicate Leagership Group, opportunity to vote for said members. Most likely, we will have another pre-season get together like we had last year...it's possible that there will be an "all Cauldron" get together...nothing has been finalized as of yet. You can join at our pre-season get together, at the tailgate prior to any home game, at watch parties, or at www.hillcrestsyndicate.com. As for the name....I keep asking them to name a road around the new stadium "Hillcrest Road", since that applies to our Supporter Group name as well as the name of the Wizards official Blog. Don't know what will happen, but a name change in 2011 is always a possibility. Let me know if you have any other questions. Since nominations were closed for the upcoming Hillcrest Syndicate elections I've been going through the process of contacting those that were nominated to see who would be accepting their nominations. With that process now completed, here are the people that will be up for election this year. Now I am getting "Error! Email does not exist!" I will PM you my email address which Hillcrest Syndicate sends the newsletter to.
We had every intention of having one last season (an even for the previous season), and Stu did his best to try and get one out, unfortunately the rest of us basically dropped the ball when it came time to add content for the newsletters. That is one of the things we are looking to change for the 2010 season...regular monthly (at minimum) communication out to the membership.
There aren't any. A couple of functionality questions but really, what do you expect when i didn't get any business rules or scope documentation?
